Would you like to submit a project to be considered for an upcoming kit idea?  Well, you can!  Here’s how:

Submit a Project

Stampin’ Up! wants your kit ideas for upcoming kits.  No, this is not a typo.  In October, 2012 Stampin’ Up! started up a new kit program especially for you.  YOU will be the inspiration for the kits and YOU will vote to decide which project will be sold.

Submit a Project is not limited to demonstrators, so spread the word to your friends and neighbors  to submit and vote on upcoming kits.  This is a great way to get the entire stamping community together.  Start creating! Send us your kit ideas and get ready to vote for your favorites.

The Not-So-Fine Print

  • This program is available to both customers and demonstrators.
  • While your projects should not include retired products, they may include products not created by Stampin’ Up!, (such as jars or frames).
  • Projects must fit into the specified category:  Birthday.
  • Projects can be cards, scrapbook pages, home décor, holiday décor, birthday decorations, etc.  If you can make it with Stampin’ Up! product, you can submit it!
  • Submit your projects by e-mail.  Send an image (less than 2 MB), supply list, and instructions for creating the project to: kitideas@stampinup.com.  In the subject line, include the name of your project.
  • Please keep in mind that all submissions become the property of Stampin’ Up! once received.  Stampin’ Up! reserves the right to change project elements, the name, or any feature to make the kit easy to reproduce.
  • What’s in it for you?  Glad you asked!  Those who submit the winning kit will:
    • See it – your photo, name and project will be posted online.
    • Flaunt it – you’ll receive “blog badge” for your personal blog or website.
    • Spend it – you wouldn’t be a winner without a $100 Stampin’ Up! shopping spree. (SWEET!)
  • That’s not all!  Those whose submissions are in the top 20 will also receive product used in the winning kit or a $25 shopping spree of their own.

So what are you waiting for?  It’s time to get famous for SHARING what you LOVE!

Until next time, stamp on my friends,
Linda

A Little Twix For You

DSC03609I have another treat for you from last Saturday’s Stamped with Joy group meeting.  This cute little “3-D” project was created by our group leader, Amy Storrie.  (I know Amy said she CASEd [copy and share everything] this project design but I can’t remember where she got her inspiration.)

[Objects are smaller than they appear.]

While my photo may make this 3-D item look gigantic, it’s really pretty petite.  The finished item measures approximately 2.75″  x 2.0″ x .75″ and a bite size Twix bar is tucked inside.

If you want to make some of these cuties (they would make great party favors!), here is what you will need:

Stamps:  (I’m not sure what set Amy used; perhaps one not yet released …)
Ink:  Tangerine Tango
Paper:  Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Garden Green, This and That Epic Day Designer Series Paper (NEW ITEM!!!)
Other:  Snail Adhesive, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Soda Pop Tops, Daffodil Delight 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon, 1/16″ Circle Handheld punch, 7/8″ Scallop Circle punch

If you’re thinking to yourself “hey, that soda pop top looks smashed”, you would be correct.  Amy ran them through the Big Shot to flatten down the tips.  Genius idea, Amy!  (By the way, leave a comment with the name of that stamp set!)

Until next time, stamp on my friends,
Linda

Daydream Medallions

DSC03596The next installment from my Saturday Stamped with Joy group meeting shoebox swap was designed by my direct upline, Wendi Sands.

Wendi put a LOT of work into preparing this swap for us by stamping and cutting each of the medallions, with the exception of the center one which we cut out by hand with our paper snips (I love those sharp little scissors!)

Each medallion layer is attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals and each point on the largest medallion has a Basic Jewels Rhinestone and there’s one large Rhinestone in the center.  My photography does not do this card justice!

I think the following are the items that you would need to create a card like this one:

Stamps:  Daydream Medallions; Oh, Hello
Ink:   More Mustard, Tangerine Tango, Raspberry Ripple
Papers:  Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Tangerine Tango
Embellishments:  Basic Jewels Rhinestones
Other:  Snail Adhesive, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Floral Frames Framelits, Big Shot

If I’ve left anything out, I hope Wendi will post a comment to set me straight 😉

Until next time, stamp on my friends,
Linda

Amazing Mother

DSC03597

Continuing on with posts of projects from Saturday’s Stamped with Joy group meeting, this beauty was designed by Amy O’Neill (you can see a much better picture on Amy’s blog here).

This would make an awesome Mother’s Day Card (May will be here before you know it!).  It’s a good thing my Mom is not on the internet as it’s a pretty good chance she will get a card just like this one from me this year.  🙂

To make one of these cards, here are the supplies that you will need:

Stamps:  Amazing Family
Ink:  Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Basic Black
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Very Vanilla, Pool Party, In-Color dsp stack
Embellishments:  Apothecary Accents Framelits, Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Tea Lace Paper Doilies, 5/8″ Flower Trim, Bitty Butterfly punch, Elegant Butterfly punch, Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack, Pearl Basic Jewels

I hope you all had a great Sunday.  Come back and see what I have in store for you next time.

Stamp on my friends,
Linda

Oh, Hello Tea for Two

DSC03591I joined my sister demonstrators today for a meeting of the “Stamped with Joy” members — Amy Storrie’s group.

We kicked off the day discussing business, what’s new with Stampin’ Up! and the anticipation of the release of the new annual catalog, followed by some stamping fun and great snacks.

Our meeting included a “shoebox swap” and this is the card that I designed for everyone to make.  I’ve been partial to those cute little Paper Doilies, the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper and the Artisan Embellishments Kit of late, all of which are offered in the current Spring Catalog.  Everyone seemed to really like the card and I hope you will as well.

If you would like to make one of these for yourself, here are the stamps and supplies that you will need (it’s really a quick and easy card to make!):

Card stock:  Very Vanilla, Summer Starfruit, Old Olive
Classic Stampin’ Pads:  Soft Suede
Stamp Sets:  Oh, Hello
Other Supplies:  Stampin’ Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Sticky Tape, Mini Glue Dots, Tea for Two Designer Series Paper, Natural Trim Ribbon, Artisan Embellishments Kit, White Tea Lace Paper

I’ll post more pictures of the project designed by the other members in the coming days.

Contact me for more information.

Stamp on my friends,
Linda

Color REFRESH + FREE Shipping this weekend

Color Refresh

Announcing a Stampin’ Up! Color Refresh!  We love color and we know that you do too.  Color is fundamental to who we are and what we offer.  It’s important for us to stay up-to-date with color trends so we are thrilled to share our updated line of colors, and hope you will be as excited as we are by the new possibilities!

Why now?  In 2010 we did a big color renovation and shared our plans for smaller color refreshes every three to five years to keep our colors on trend. Well it has been three years and we are excited to announce that the upcoming 2013-2014 annual catalog will include 10 new colors (most of which are returning In Colors from previous years)! We are welcoming back some of your favorites, moving some colors around, and introducing one brand-new color, so take a look!

Color Refresh-Mary Fish

Beginning on April 4, 2013, all retiring/discontinued color products (i.e. ink, paper, ribbon, accessories, etc.) will be available only while supplies last.  This means that some products will not be available through the retired list period.  We did anticipate increased demand and based our forecasts for these retiring colors on historical sales information from previous color transitions.  However, even with the most careful planning, the response to a transition of this nature can surprise everyone.

FREE SHIPPING THIS WEEKEND — April 6 thru 8!

Stampin’ Up! is offering FREE shipping on EVERYTHING April 6-8 (excluding expedited orders)!  That’s right.  There is NO $6.95 shipping minimum or limit on how large or small your order must be.

Now is the perfect opportunity to stock up on your favorite retiring colors (card stock, inks, ribbons, etc.) before they are gone for good.

(Free shipping is available in North America only.)

If you have any questions just drop a comment here on my blog or email me!
