Stampin’ Up! – Envelope Punch Board, Convention Highlights & Artisan Project

Coming Soon! – Envelope Punch Board:

Stampin’ Up! announced at this year’s Convention last week the release of a new tool.  While I can’t show you a picture of the tool itself until it is officially released, I can show you what you can create with this tool!

My Project 5-001

With the release of the “Envelope Punch Board” you will no longer be limited on the size of the cards you design.  This nifty new tool will allow you to create coordinating envelopes in  66 different sizes!!

2013 Convention Theme Song / Highlights Video:

The theme this year for Convention was “Be the Difference”.  Here is the highlight video with the theme song performed by Ryan Innes (as seen on NBC’s ‘The Voice’).  Ryan kicked off Day 1 General Session with a live performance of this year’s convention theme song!  It was awesome to see.

Another Artisan Project:

Here’s one of the five cards that I designed and submitted with my Artisan Design Team application:

And here it is on one of the Display Boards at Convention 2013!:

#Convention2013 – Imagine Dress-Up Frame Art

If you are a regular subscriber to my blog, then you may recall that I mentioned in one of my earlier posts that I submitted projects for the first time this year to be considered as a member of the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team for 2013-2014.

While I didn’t make the cut, many of my projects were part of the displays in the Demonstrator Resource Center during Stampin’ Up! Convention 2013.  Here is my other 3-D project:

#Convention2013 – Day 1

Opening Session:  We were welcomed by Shelli Gardner and her entire family onstage as we marked the official start of this year’s Convention.  This year is extra special as it marks the 25th Anniversary of Stampin’ Up!

Attendance was capped at 5,800 demonstrators from the US and Canada (as well as some of our European locations).  As you can imagine, the crowds are huge and the lines are long!

I managed to make my way around to all of the Display Boards in the Gathering Place and photographed them all.  During my tour of the boards I was excited to see many of my Artisan Design Team submissions on display (I did not make the top 20, unfortunately).  Here’s one of my 3-D projects.

Poor Gary keeps asking me how many more I need to do … my answer:  as many as I can make between now and when I board my plane to Salt Lake City!

I hope you all had a great weekend.  My blog posts may be more sporadic than usual but I hope you will stay tuned …

Six-Sided Happy Father’s Day

Well it’s Father’s Day (and US Open Final Round Sunday – GO PHIL!).  Sadly my Dad passed away over 11 years ago, but I still think of him pretty much every day and miss him terribly.  {Happy Fathers’ Day, Daddy — I’ll see you again someday.}

I have someone that I love who is an amazing Dad to his two sons and while he is not my Dad I wanted to surprise him with a Father’s Day card.

Gary Fathers Day 2013

I spent most of my Saturday undertaking the never ending task of organizing and cleaning my craft room (with the retirement of the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog and many stamp sets, etc. this has been a monumental task).  So as I sit here and post this entry to my blog is it well past 2:00 AM on Father’s Day so if nothing I write here makes much sense later today when you get around to reading it, you will know why.  🙂

This card was very simple and quick and features new products from the 2013-2014 Annual Catalog.  Here is what I used to create this card (click on each item for more information):

Delightful Dozen Stamp Set (wood mount) (clear mount)
Six-Sided Samplar Stamp Set (wood mount) (clear mount)*
Crumb Cake Card Stock
Very Vanilla Card Stock
Midnight Muse Card Stock
Midnight Muse Classic Stampin’ Pad
Early Espresso Classic Stampin’ Pad
Cajun Craze Classic Stampin’ Pad
Linen Thread
Stampin’ Trimmer
Big Shot Die-Cut Machine
Honey Comb Textured Embossing Folder
Hexagon Punch*
Snail Adhesive
Stampin’ Dimensionals
(* Save when purchased as a Bundle!) (wood mount) (clear mount)

Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Until next time, stamp on my friends,
Linda
