#Convention2013 – Day 1

Opening Session:  We were welcomed by Shelli Gardner and her entire family onstage as we marked the official start of this year’s Convention.  This year is extra special as it marks the 25th Anniversary of Stampin’ Up!

Attendance was capped at 5,800 demonstrators from the US and Canada (as well as some of our European locations).  As you can imagine, the crowds are huge and the lines are long!

I managed to make my way around to all of the Display Boards in the Gathering Place and photographed them all.  During my tour of the boards I was excited to see many of my Artisan Design Team submissions on display (I did not make the top 20, unfortunately).  Here’s one of my 3-D projects.

Here are the supplies I used to create this Journal:

Card stock:  Whisper White, Lucky Limeade
Classic Stampin’ Pads:  Basic Gray
Stamp Sets:  Loving Thoughts, Amazing Family
Tools:  Stampin’ Trimmer, Blossom Petals Builder Punch, 1-1/4” Scallop Circle Punch, Simply Scored Stylus, Paper Piercing Tool, Craft Scissors, Bone Folder
Other Supplies:  Stampin’ Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Tombo Mono Liquid Glue, Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper, Jewels Basic Pearls, Basic Gray Two-Tone Ribbon, Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit

Check back tomorrow to see what else I have to share with you.

Until next time, stamp on my friends,
