Milestone Moments

With the Milestone Moments Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up! you can commemorate just about any milestone in your life or the lives of your family and friends.  Whether you are strictly into card making, scrapbooking or a combination thereof, this versatile stamp set is perfect for recording those pivotal moments in life, such as birthdays, new babies, retirement and anniversaries.  This stamp set is photopolymer which means two-step stamping is easy-peasy because the stamps are transparent!

With just a few coordinating products from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions and Annual Catalogs, your project options are endless.  Here are just a few suggestions as an example (page numbers not preceded by “AC” are references to the Occasions Catalog; “AC” refers to the Annual Catalog):

Stumped for design ideas?  Are you on Pinterest?  If yes, just search for the name of the stamp set and — BOOM — your feed will be filled with many marvelous ideas!  If no, you are missing out on endless hours of inspiration (ok, full disclosure — some call it a black hole because it sucks you in).  Membership is free, but by invitation only.  If you want to be a member and have a friend who is one, ask them to invite you.

You can purchase the Milestone Moments stamp set directly from my demonstrator website by clicking on the image below:

While there, don’t forget to include paper, inks, dimensionals, and embellishments if you need those items too.  Or you can simply contact me for assistance.

ONSTAGE LOCAL

I am so very excited today because I am heading to Shreveport, LA for Stampin’ Up! OnStage Local. This is a one-day conference for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators being offered as a mini-convention while the multi-day OnStage event is being held (in Amsterdam).  I will receive a copy of the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog (YAY!) and will be able to pre-order some new products a month earlier than the pre-order date in May (double YAY!).  I can’t wait to share all the new stuff with you all.  Unfortunately what I can share will be limited, but I will be able to show you what I made with these products (nod nod, wink wink).

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you leave here inspired to commemorate some of those Milestone Moments in your life.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Happy Celebrations

Hello.  Long time no post.  As last reported, I had one of my infusions Friday, March 24. Let’s just say it was a rough week afterwards filled with constant migraines, a rebounding fever and serious fatigue bad enough to cause me to miss an entire week from work and forced me to make the decision that these transfusions are not going to continue–that’s it, my last one (at least for the very near future).

I am glad to say that I am headache free today and was back at work.  So while I literally slept through the last week of Sale-a-Bration and did not create one single item during the past week, I thought I would share with you a new video from the Stampin’ Up! office which demonstrates how versatile a stamp set can be when paired with a coordinating item, such as an embossing (or debossing) folder.  (Just click on the picture below to be redirected.)

Amazing!  Of course I do not have that duo and now I want it.  How about you?  Well, you can get these products for yourself by simply clicking below which will take you to my demonstrator website for quick and easy ordering.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you leave here inspired to make a birthday card to send to a friend, coworker, family or to give to a perfect stranger to make their day (you know, for them to give to someone).

NEWS ALERT:  I am attending OnStage Local in Shreveport this coming weekend so I will have a sneak peak of upcoming products I will be able to tease you with soon.

Until next time, stamp on my friends.

All Things Thanks

It is always a good day when I have the chance and the desire to ink up my stamps and create something.  The card I am sharing with you today has been rambling around inside my head for several days so I thought I better take some time and let it out.  It didn’t turn out quite as I had imagined, but it is close.  I think I will give this design another try again soon, perhaps making the designer series paper panel a little narrower.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used during the design of this card:

Price: $110.00

Thank you for stopping by today.    I hope you leave here inspired to put your own stamps to ink to paper.  If you need a little help getting started, just give me a call or send me an email–I would love to help!  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Thoughtful Branches Sympathy

Something most of you don’t know about me–I play an interactive game called Empire Four Kingdoms.  It is exactly what it sounds like … you have castles, you form alliances, you attack other castles lords and they attack you.  I have been playing this game for many years (my husband absolutely hates it); I am actually the crown (Queen) of my alliance.  One thing that is unique about playing a game of this type is that the players become your virtual family.

One of our members lost her best friend to cancer earlier this week.  She had been fighting cancer for years.  She beat breast cancer; she beat lung cancer; but she could not win the fight when it invaded her brain.  Our member stood by her best friend through it all.

I wanted to make her a card to let her know that her virtual family is there for her through these difficult times.  I stepped outside my comfort zone on this one and I feel like it may be missing something, but it is kind of growing on me.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card:

Price: $110.00

(I used two retired products on this card (my apologies):  the bow on the side is made from strands pulled from Jute Burlap ribbon; the basic pearls are colored with Blendabilities.)

Thank you for stopping by today.  If you have any questions regarding the design of this card or any of the products used, I would love to hear from.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Teeny Tiny Hello Baby, So Succulent

I started working on a card yesterday evening for the transfusion nurse who patiently tends to me during my IGA infusions for my auto-immune disease (every three weeks).  She was due to deliver a baby girl in mid-March and has been on bed rest for the last two months of her pregnancy.  My next infusion is this Friday, and while I do not expect her to have already returned to work I would like to leave a little something for her and the baby.

Well tonight I finished it and here it is:

I think I was a little design blocked last night–I kind of knew what I wanted to do, but wasn’t sure which stamp sets and tools I had in my arsenal to get me there.  I guess I need to spend some time cleaning up my craft room a bit so I can find things better (sigh).

Below are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card:

Price: $110.00

Supply List

(** The Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper is also offered as a Sale-A-Bration item through March 31, 2017 and is FREE with any $50 purchase.)

If you have any questions about how to recreate this design, do not hesitate to contact me.  Would you like to get together and make some cards with me and some of your friends, contact me to pick a date!

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you leave here inspired to create and share your works of art with your friends.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Making a Difference

Since 2003, Stampin’ Up! has partnered with the Ronald McDonald House Charities (“RMHC”) to help families stay close to their hospitalized children.  Their commitment to RMHC is four-fold:

  • Each year, they contribute $100,000 to RMHC.  To date, they have contributed $1.5 million to RMHC and their network of local RMHC Chapters.
  • Each year, they design an exclusive stamp set and donate a portion of the proceeds to RMHC.
  • They donate cards and other crafting projects created at Stampin’ Up! events to local Houses.
  • They help organize teams of demonstrators to conduct activities in local Houses.

This year’s stamp set is called My Hero and coordinates with multiple punches and framelits for quick and easy cut-outs.  This set is available in both clear-mount (acrylic blocks sold separately) and wood-mount (wood blocks included).

This set is perfect for cards and tags for Easter, Christmas, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Get Well or just to simply let someone know that they are your Hero.

Purchase this set for yourself or for a friend (or both)–Stampin’ Up! will donate $3.00 for each set purchased to the RMHC.  You can place an order by simply clicking on the product listing above, or contact me for assistance.  Together we can Make A Difference.

And don’t forget about Sale-A-Bration.  Just 10 more days left to cash in on the FREE products with every $50 purchase.  The Sale-A-Bration items are while supplies last.  SOLD OUT:  Card Tin and Glitter Paper pack.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

A So Succulent Mother’s Day

Surprise, surprise–I made a card!  I did in fact spend some time in my craft room today.  First I spent some time playing with the March Paper Pumpkin kit; I think these cards need a little something as they are not as cute in real life as they appeared on the video (maybe it’s just me).  I will think on this for a bit and see what inspires me and I will share these with you soon.

Anyways, time to share with you what I made today:

This is a clean and simple card design.  It is also quick and easy–aside from getting the tiny pieces of paper out of the heart thinlit, that is (I usually put a small piece of shrink wrap between the paper and die before I run through the Big Shot, but I forgot this time).  Below is a list of the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of this card:

If you have any questions regarding the design of the card, please do not hesitate to ask.  If you need help deciding on which Stampin’ Up! products you want to buy, I can help with that too.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

From Shaving Cream to Marble-ous

What does shaving cream have to do with stamping?  Absolutely nothing, or so one would think, right?  However, it appears nothing is off limits when it comes to creativity over at the Stampin’ Up! home office.  Take a little shaving cream, add some drops of Stamin’ Up! ink and give it a little swirl/stir, then just add paper.  Sounds a little crazy until you see it for yourself.  Here is a video to prove my case:

I am so going to try this technique–but I think my husband uses shaving gel so I likely will need to make a run to the store first.

Well tomorrow I have high hopes of spending time getting my fingers all inky playing with my new stamps so I hope to have something I have actually made to share with you in the coming days.  Can you feel the anticipation?

As a reminder, there are two weeks remaining to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration.  These products are available while supplies last and FREE with every $50 purchase.  Sadly, the card tin is already sold out, but that still leaves 15 other products to choose from:

Thank you for stopping by.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

March Paper Pumpkin – Bunnylicious

Mea culpa my friends.  Alas I did not spend time in my craft room last weekend so I have no new projects to share with you.  It was a very emotional weekend—my Mom’s beloved chocolate lab “Hallie” who has been a part of our family for 13 years took her journey across the Rainbow Bridge.  She was such a gentle giant and will be sorely missed.  In the days following I have been stuck in a migraine vacuum that does not want to seem to let go.  If it would only rain as they have been predicting for nearly two weeks, perhaps I would finally get some relief.  But enough with the sad pity talk …

I have seen the March Paper Pumpkin kit—while I have not yet received mine (I hope it comes today), the video is now available for all to see (click on photo to view):

Oh I sure hope they have the refill kit available for purchase for this one—that is super duper cute!

If you missed the March 10 deadline to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin to receive the March kit above, you have until April 10 to register for the upcoming April kit—designed by Stampin’ Up! CEO Sara Douglass.  Then, you have the option to purchase prior kits while supplies last.  Can you say “win win”?

As I mentioned in a prior post, Stampin’ Up! turned creative control of their April kit over to CEO, Sara Douglass, and the end result is stunning!  Her style is, “bold, vibrant, and artistic—with a little bit of sass,” which is exactly how she described the kit.  Sara designed this kit for you, so you can discover creativity through the eyes of our CEO while having an experience that is uniquely YOU!  Get ready to embrace your inner artist and skip to the fun with Sara.

As if a kit designed by Sara is not reason enough to sign up, there’s more!  She’s including a FREE gift inside every April box!  We’re keeping it a surprise, but you won’t want to miss it.  One more surprise—Sara was live on Facebook yesterday and she spilled the beans that she used one of the new In-Colors in this kit—oh my!

What do you need to do? It’s simple—sign up at PaperPumpkin.com by April 10.  If you need help signing up, I am here to lend a hand.

Thanks for stopping by.  Sorry for being absent for a week.  I will try to do better and really do hope to make something in my craft room this weekend.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.
