Creativity is Calling!

Greetings my stamping friends!

The 2019–2020 annual catalog is here, and it’s time to answer the call of creativity. It has been difficult to not share the new products with you these past few months (those that I have had since mid April) and I wish I could say that I have piles of projects lined up to share with you now, but of course I don’t!

I do, however, have some product videos from the Stampin’ Up! design team as well as the catalog itself, HERE.

But before I share the videos with you, PLEASE NOTE that the following items are currently either on backorder, at the risk of going on backorder or are not available for purchase due to quality control issues:

  • SAIL AWAY TRINKETS (item 149482)
  • PETAL PINK 5/8″ (1.6 CM) STRIPED ORGANDY RIBBON (item 149441)
  • MAGNOLIA LANE MEMORIES & MORE CARD PACK (item 149554)
  • BOTANICAL TAGS DIES (item 146824)
  • PURPLE POSY CLASSIC STAMPIN’ PAD (item 150084)
  • PURPLE POSY CLASSIC STAMPIN’ INK REFILL (item 150091)

Ok, now the videos:

Isn’t that exciting to see!?!

Are you ready to answer the call of creativity? If yes, I can help you get started. If you don’t have a printed catalog, I would be happy to get one to you, just ask.

Thank you for stopping by today. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

A Fond Farewell to Graceful Glass Designer Vellum

Greetings my stamping friends. I continue to work on new projects and trying to make time to drop more items off over at my booth at the High Street Antique Mall. Let’s just say my car is very full at the moment so I am going to have to make a trip to Plano sooner rather than later. Tomorrow just may be the day.

Some of the projects I will share will you are among the items in my car awaiting their ride over to the booth. I made one of each to test their desirability. I would love to hear from you as to your thoughts.

What is the one thing that each of these projects has in common? I used the retired Graceful Glass 6″ x 6″ Designer Vellum on each of them.

Here are the Stamping’ Up! products that I used in the design of these projects that remain available for purchase. Please note that the Designer Vellum paper will only be available while supplies last or June 3, 2019, whichever comes first:

Product List

NOTE: The red ribbon I used on the rose candle is no longer available. The metallic galvanized paper on the 4 x 6 framed art piece is on the Clearance Rack for $2.00 (rather than the listed $6.00) and is also available only while supplies last.

Vellum is much more difficult to melt into a candle than an image that has been stamped onto a piece of tissue paper, but with much perseverance it can be done. If you are not familiar with melting a stamped image into a candle, I would be happy to explain it to you. You just need to ask.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to think outside the box (or the card) when you want to get creative. As you can see, there are many things you can do with pretty paper, ink and fabulous embellishments other than make a card or a scrapbook page. If you can color, you CAN BE THAT CREATIVE! I promise! I would be happy to show you how.

Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Magnolia Memory Dies on a Wood Crate

Greetings my stamping friends. I am sharing with you another one of the projects I intend to put in my booth (#137) at High Street Antique Market in Plano, Texas. For this project I used the coordinating dies from the Magnolia Lane Suite to make my own magnolia flowers after watching a You Tube video on the Stampin’ Up! channel. However, once I had them all put together I wasn’t sure what to do with them. Then I glanced over and saw some tree branches from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies for a project from long ago and an idea then unfolded ….

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this project which are available now and once the new Annual Catalog goes live on June 4, 2019:

Product List

The only thing I used from the Magnolia Lane Suite, again, is the set of dies, which will be available for purchase starting June 4, 2019:

Product List

So let me know what you think about this project. I added a few of the left over butterflies from my Sale-A-Bration Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper that I had in a bag sitting on my desk to fill in some blank spaces. But maybe I should have just left them off. You tell me.

Each of the magnolia flowers is made from using one die cut of each of the three-petal dies. Here is the video from the Stampin’ Up! design team sharing the technique on how to make these flowers, as well as a larger version using the (of all things) Hot Air Balloon punch that is a new item being offered in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog!

If you have any question regarding any design elements of this project, do not hesitate to ask. As I have probably mentioned more than once, I always offer my tutorials and assistance for FREE with no expectations or obligations. I simply love what I do, and I love to share it with you all.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Good Morning Magnolia on a Wood Crate

Greetings my stamping friends. While I said I would not share any of the other new products from the upcoming Annual Catalog with you, I thought I would at least share with you an additional project I am working on (to put in my booth at High Street Antiques) using the Magnolia Lane Suite of products.

For today’s project I sort of reproduced the framed art project I did for my Mom for Mother’s Day, but in a much smaller scale and in a rustic theme.

What do you think?

I was at the big box store “M” and found their Spring décor items were marked 50% along with their DIY signage. These adorable 6×6 crates were regularly $8.00 so were an absolute bargain at $4.00. Unfortunately they only had four remaining.

As I did with the piece I made for my Mom, I stamped the flower four times, attached first layer flat, next with dimensionals, cut off leaves on third and attached with dimensionals and cut off all but a few of the inside petals on the fourth and attached with dimensionals. I colored the entire flower with clear Wink of Stella to give it some dazzle.

Below are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this project that you can order now and after June 4, 2019 when the new catalog sales period begins:

Product List

I see that I failed to list Whisper White card stock:

And here are the Stampin’ Up! products I used that will be available for purchase starting June 4, 2019:

Product List

If you have any questions regarding any other design elements of this project, do not hesitate to ask me.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Framed Magnolias for Mom

Yes, it has been a while since I have shared any projects with you all, and for that I sincerely apologize. I decided to take off on another adventure that will slowly incorporate my completed paper crafts — I opened a booth at the High Street Antique Market in Plano, Texas. If you are local, please stop by and shop my personal collection of clear depression glass (mostly Candlewick Pattern by Imperial Class Corporation out of Ohio, 1930s-1984) at Booth #137! I opened the first week of May and my booth is a little sad looking, but I hope to be able to spend more time “decorating” it to make it more attractive so that I make my first sale soon.

I have been holding off sharing the new products from the Annual Catalog that goes live on June 4 (I mean, it’s cruel to dangle things in front of your eyes that you can’t get yet, right?), but I just had to share with you what I made for my Mom for Mother’s Day. Sadly, though, I had a raging migraine and was running a fever so I have not been able to give it to her yet, but she has at least seen a picture of it!

I used the following Stampin’ Up! products in the design of this project that will become available for purchase on June 4, 2019:

Product List

And here are additional Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this project that are available for purchase now and in the new Annual Catalog on June 4, 2019:

Product List

And finally, I used the following Stampin’ Up! tools which are available now through June 3, 2019, or while supplies last:

Product List
Big Shot
[143263]
$110.00

Now that is a bit complicated. I think I will hold off on sharing the new products for a little bit longer to keep my posts shorter!

I think you are going to love the entire Magnolia Lane Suite of products once you get your hands on a copy of the new catalog. Everything is just so beautiful you will want it all, just like I did!

To create the dimensions of the magnolia flowers I stamped four (4) of each and cut each out with the coordinating dies. I attached the bottom flower with snail, the second on top with dimensionals, I cut the leaves off the third and attached on top with dimensionals and the fourth I cut all but a few of the center petals off and attached with dimensionals. The 5×7 frame is from a local big box store (regularly $19.99 so look for a 50% off sale!).

If you have any other questions regarding the design of this project, do not hesitate to ask. My tutorials and assistance is always offered for FREE and with no obligation.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

  • Rose Gold Shimmer Paint—1/2 oz. (15 ml)

I was a bit hesitant to share this product promotion with you due to it’s limited availability — May 1-31, 2019, or while supplies last. Why? Because you all get excited and then try to order it and poof the item is sold out already. But Stampin’ Up! had this problem in mind when they decided on how they would launch this new product offering, the first of its kind. Here is a little bit of what they had to say:

Several recent products have far exceeded ordered quantities, and have run out quickly after becoming available to customers. For this reason, there will not be a demonstrator preorder period. We are making the Everything Is Rosy Product Medley available to you and your customers simultaneously and encouraging you to use the marketing and training resources below to prepare for the new product launch…

The price ($80.00 US) can seem a bit daunting until you fully understand all that you truly are getting as part of the product medley — a stamp set, coordinating dies, ribbons, specialty designer series paper, metallic designer series paper (in Rose Gold!), die cuts, mirror embellishments and Rose Gold shimmer paint! Well it sounds like a bargain now.

Here are a few projects put together by our design team as an example of just some of the projects you could make with the products in this product medley:

This is a beautiful collection of products. If you must have them, I do urge you to put your order in quickly after May 1 to avoid missing out on the chance to get one for yourself. If I can be of any help processing your order, I would be happy to help.

Thank you for stopping by today. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

50 Reasons Why …

It is the greatest compliment to be asked to create a custom item for one of the best friends of your best friend … it is also extremely nerve wracking. I had these conflicting emotions recently when my “special friend” (inside joke) Katherine was telling me about a plaque she was trying to order for a friend’s birthday off of Etsy. She was having a difficult time getting the seller to respond to her and she had not yet received a final proof for the custom item and the deadline for shipping had already come and gone. I commented that I now have a 12 x 12 color printer and could probably help her if she wanted me to give it a try ….

After some file conversions and other computer magic and font adjustments I had a proof for Katherine’s review.  She wanted to emphasize the hearts. At first I thought the Heart Epoxy Droplets, but I only had one pack and I needed 50 of the small sized hearts. Then I thought glimmer paper! Here is the finished item which both Katherine and the birthday girl, Erin, loved:

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of this project with quick link thumbnails to make adding them to your shopping cart a snap.

Product List

The design designer series paper used under the vellum is retired. The non-Stampin’ Up! items you will need to complete your project are a 12 x 12 shadow box and 12 x 12 vellum available at your local big box store.

If you have any questions or would like to commission a custom project for a deserving friend or family member, all you need to do is ask. I love creating and putting smiles on people’s faces when they see the end result.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

INK Demos & Stamped with Joy Swaps

#sanantonioonstage2019 has wrapped but the fun still lingers in the air as I unpack my stash of swaps and haul of products we received as part of our registration bag, Prize Patrol, all Attendee Give Aways and Make & Take dispersement (once we were done we split up the supplies, including stamp sets, punches and inks used for each project)!

As I previously mentioned it took me what seemed like forever to complete my 26 cards for our organized group swap, but that was alright with me because this group of ladies are very talented and worth the time. Well, to prove my point, here are the cards I received in return:

I am so lucky to be part of this group of talented stampers!

If you would like the “recipe” for any of these card projects, just ask and I will research what was used and get back to you ASAP.

I also received a couple of gifts from my uplines, Amy Storrie and Leslie Bumgarner:

This was filled with two full packages of Stampin’ dimensionals – something I always need.

This was a tiny tin bucket with real flower seeds which I can water and grow. It’s only about 2″ tall and is super cute. Amy used one of the new stamp set bundles that she demonstrated at #sanantonioonstage2019 last Saturday – Bloom & Grow.

Also a special shout out to Amy Storrie who was recognized for hitting her $500,000 Lifetime Sales goal!

Can you believe we squeezed all that fun into one day? Whew!

I have my iGA infusion tomorrow so I may be quite for a day or so but I will try to post news updates to my blog since there has been a lot of new information flooding in these past few weeks.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Linda

P.S. The mailing selector for the new catalog closes April 30. If you would like a new Annual Catalog from me, leave me a comment so I will be sure to include you.
