#imbringingbirthdaysback – Cards in the Mail to Me

Greetings my stamping friends! Today (November 12) is my birthday. Sadly I am receiving one of my IGG infusions for my autoimmune disease today, so I will be “celebrating” on another day.

Over at Stampin’ Up!, Shannon West started a list of birthdays where demonstrators and others could compile their names and we could all send birthday cards to each other to continue Shannon’s #imbringingbirthdaysback card mailing campaign that she started in 2018. She had even carved a special stamp back in 2018 for her campaign:

I was overjoyed to receive cards this week which I am going to share with you, in no particular order.

Charlotte Hollingsworth – Colorado Springs, CO
Martha Emory – College Park, GA
Lynda Nunez – Kerrville, TX
Melissa Bolinger – Spring Grove, PA
Theresa Tucker – St. Joseph, IL
Stephanie Boyer – Fairview, OK
Deedra Corona – Perris, CA

If you need information for the Stampin’ Up! supplies for any of the cards show on this post, please let me know and I will try to see if I can figure out all that was used. Some I recognize, some I do not.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Poinsettia Petals Gift Card Holder

Greetings my stamping friends. I hope you are all doing well. I don’t think I have mentioned to you all yet, but I am participating in two different business development “zoom” groups at the moment to help me be better and more consistent on sharing my love of Stampin’ Up! with you guys. One group is with my “family tree” and direct demonstrators and another is a group of demonstrators with various strengths who are working together to help others grow and develop. Believe it or not, I am a little on the shy side when it comes to face to face interactions and I feel more at home speaking to you all here on my blog. I hope that I will learn to become a little more comfortable as time moves on to break out of my shell. Until then, I appreciate those of you who come to see what I have to share with you here on my blog.

Now, for today’s project share, I am going to show you the “mystery stamp” project we created this evening during our family “Connect & Share” meeting. This one was little less “mystery” and more of a show me, but it was still fun to make and I will most definitely be making more of this type of card.

This is a gift card holder! The information we were given to gather and prepare as supplies were as follows:

Heartfelt Holiday Mystery Stamping Project – Choose your favorite holiday designer series paper as your guide to colors and images.

1) Cut 3 pieces from chosen DSP: 4″ x 2-1/4″, 4″ x 2-3/4″, 4″ x 1″
2) Cut cardstock in coordinating color: 4-1/4″ x 11″, score at 5-1/2″ and 2-1/2″
3) Cut 3″ x 3″ cardstock in same color as #2
4) Cut Whisper White or Very Vanilla cardstock pieces: 4″ x 4-1/4″, 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″
5) Cut 2-7/8″ x 2-7/8″ cardstock that coordinates with DSP but different color from #2 and #3
6) A sentiment that will fit on WW/VV piece measuring 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ from #4
7) Ink color that coordinates
8) Tear and Tape or Multipurpose Glue
9) 1″ Circle Punch (or close to)

NOTE: The holiday designer series paper will not be offered as part of the suite once the catalog goes live in January! I have added hyperlinks for each of the four options below which will allow you to add these items to your shopping cart.

#OnStageAtHome – Saturday Finale

Greetings my stamping friends. Our first virtual OnStage event came to a conclusion on Saturday. It was lots of fun, but I did miss rubbing elbows with thousands of my demonstrator friends as we have in years past. The above photo shows everything that we received in our event kit – an awesome bag, three notebooks, an ink pen that changes colors as you use up the ink, a collection of three enamel pins that you can keep or swap and a new stamp set that will be available in the upcoming 20201 January-June Mini Catalog – Enjoy the Moment.

The original plan was to go back out to Amy Storrie’s house in Denton, but she was suffering from either a cold or allergies on Friday and I opted to stay home. Just as I was logging on for the first General Session, I saw the breaking news of the Election results which I had been closely watching and was a little disappointed that I missed it live, but OnStage was much more important at the moment!

It was another fun-filled day of stamping demonstrations and breakout mini-sessions. The closing session was the most anticipated of any event each year – a stamping presentation by Shelli Gardner and Sara Douglas. If you are a Stampin’ Up! fanatic then you know who these ladies are; if not, Shelli is a co-founder and Sara is her daughter and current CEO. They are so much fun when they are on the stage together – they could go on tour and make a killing on the comedy scene.

A perk of attending an OnStage event is being able to pre-purchase items from the upcoming mini catalog BEFORE the demonstrator purchase period (which begins in December). I submitted my order this evening and will be sharing some of the new products with you soon! They are amazing – and yes, I know I always say this, but it is true.

On Friday, four of us that attended the event at Amy’s did a shoebox swap. Here are two of the cards that we made. One is the card I designed; and one the card that Amy designed. I will share the other cards on a later post.

My Card:

My card uses a product bundle that is being released with the 2021 January-June Mini Catalog, but it is being offered as an early release NOW to customers! NOTE: There is a package of holiday dsp that is being offered as part of the early release that will not be included once the catalog launches.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of my card. You can add these items to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

Amy’s Card:

Amy used the designer series paper, Lady Bug embellishments and the Mossy Meadow linen thread from the Dandy Garden Suite and the Enjoy the Moment stamp set that we received in our event kit in the design of her card. These products will be able for purchase with the release of the 2021 January-June Mini Catalog in January. If you can’t wait until January, you can order them in December if you join my team as a demonstrator. Ask me about the benefits of becoming an Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, including a minimum 20% discount on all purchases you make!

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that Amy uses in the design of her card that are now available for purchase. You can add these items to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

If you have any questions regarding the design elements on either of these cards, including measurements of the layers, do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.

Until next time, stamp on my friends.

#OnStageAtHome – Friday Stamp & Share

Greetings my stamping friends! WOW! Friday’s events at #OnStageAtHome were AMAZING! I wish you could have all been here with me to see all of the talented demonstrators who shared their creativity with us as they dazzled our eyes with incredible pieces of art in the forms of handmade cards starting from a simple version stepped up to an avid version. I will be sharing some of these cards with you very soon once I get my hands on the stamps, inks and papers they used to create their projects.

I joined a few of my sister demonstrators at Amy Storrie’s home in Denton, Texas and we watched as a group to try to incorporate a little of the “convention” ambiance. Granted, there were just five of us, but we were socially distanced as best we could and YES, we all wore our masks!

I am sharing something (actually three things) with you today that we made today during our “Stamp & Share” portion of our day which we would have called our “Make & Takes” had we been at an in-person event. When we registered for #OnStageAtHome we had the option to purchase part of a suite of products to use for this purpose called Dandy Garden Project Collection. This complete suite will be available for customer’s to purchase in January with the release of the January-July Mini Catalog.

LADYBUGS!
6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper

Of course, if you cannot wait until January to purchase this suite of products, if you were a demonstrator for Stampin’ Up!, you would be able to pre-order these products starting on December 1. A starter kit is just $99.00, is 100% customizable by you and includes $125.00 of products. Any purchase you make thereafter receives a minimum of a 20% discount and counts towards your quarterly minimum! What a deal, right!? Let’s talk about the benefits of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.

Okay, here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of these cards that are available for purchase now. You can add these products to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

Peace & Joy to the World

Greetings my stamping friends. I hope you are doing well.

If you do not follow me on my Facebook Business Page then you missed my update that I am attending Stampin’ Up!’s #OnStageAtHome this weekend. It is a virtual online convention in lieu of our annual in person event. Thursday night we had our Awards event. The opening musical entertainment was Pat Benatar and her husband, Neil Giraldo. We then had various award recognitions mixed with stamping presentations featuring Million Dollar Sales Achievers and the stamp sets they designed that are featured in the new 2021 January-June Mini Catalog. Oh, and we got to download a copy of the new catalog too!

Today’s project is – you guessed it – another card from Amy Storrie’s Holiday Retreat. She selected a product bundle from the 2020 August-December Mini Catalog called Peace & Joy that includes a photopolymer stamp set and coordinating set of dies. For this particular card, we just used the stamp set and ink pads, but it is oh so lovely without any die cuts.

If you wanted to give your card some added dimension, you can cut the word “Joy” out with the coordinating dies and popped it up with some mini dimensionals. Oh what fun!

A Noel Pine Tree Wrapped In Christmas

Greetings my stamping friends. I hope you are all doing well. We have begun pre-sale home repairs here at our current home and the foundation was to have been poured today at the home we are having built out in Aubrey. Exciting and nerve wracking times all around.

Today’s project that I am sharing with you today is another card from Amy Storrie’s Holiday Retreat. She really out does it with projects when she puts on her events. I don’t think I have even shared half of the projects with you yet. This card uses products from both the Annual Catalog and the August-December Mini Catalog.

It’s another quick and easy layout with very little stamping. Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of this card. You can add these items to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

Merry Christmas Poinsettia Place

Greetings my stamping friends! I am sitting here trying not to chew on my fingernails as I watch the election returns. I’m sure we all have our difference taste in candidates so I won’t get political on you here in my post, but this is nerve wracking for sure!

Today’s project is another card from Amy Storrie’s Holiday Retreat. This card features products from the Poinsettia Place suite. The magic in this card is mostly the beautiful paper and dies by Stampin’ Up!

I think my favorite element on this card is the velvet paper that was used on the poinsettia. You have to see it and feel it in real life to truly appreciate the luxuriousness of it.

Season’s Greetings In the Pines

Greetings my stamping friends! Is it too early to start sharing Christmas card ideas with you? Of course not! After all, it takes a bit of time to get all of your supplies together and your creations completed, so a little inspiration a few months ahead is a good thing.

I am sharing one of my favorite Christmas cards from Amy Storrie’s Holiday Retreat. It uses the In The Pines Bundle from the 2020 August-December Mini Catalog (see page 43).

It is really a quick and easy layout. Amy used the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut out the Whisper White pieces, but you could easily just cut your pieces with the paper trimmer if you don’t have this particular set of dies (or just add them to your shopping cart below!).

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of this card. You can add the items you need to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails.

Love of Leaves Hello

Greetings my stamping friends! What a brisk cool day we had today! Unfortunately I slept through most of it after getting one of my infusion treatments yesterday. But it is the perfect weather finally for Fall here in Texas.

Today’s project share is another card from Amy Storrie’s Holiday Retreat featuring a product bundle from the August through December 2020 Mini Catalog – Love of Leaves. Like many of the products that Amy used at her retreat, I did not have this bundle but I just had to have it after seeing how beautiful the dies can make your projects (and quick and easy as well).

She basically cut the leaf from the piece of cardstock and used both pieces in the design of the card – genius!

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of this card. You can add these items to your shopping card by clicking on the thumbnails below:

If you have any questions about any of the design elements of this card, such as measurements, please just ask.

Gilded Autumn Suite – My Heart is Grateful

Greetings my stamping friends! As we are nearing the end of October, thoughts are beginning to turn to Fall and then naturally to Thanksgiving. This year may be a bit different for many families this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I know that for me and my husband, we will not be making our usual trip out to Denton this year. I have nieces that are in college and I know they do not socially distance well enough for me to feel safe to be around them. It is hard for someone like me who is in a high risk group to spend much time around friends and family if you don’t know how they behave when they are out in public themselves.

Today’s project share is another card from Amy Storrie’s Holiday Retreat and features products from the Gilded Autumn suite from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. The suite itself is not orderable at this time (the designer series paper is on backorder); however, you can order everything else in the suite if it’s on your must have list.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of this card. You can add these items to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

Product List

This card would be perfect to send at Thanksgiving or any time of year. If you have any questions regarding any of the design elements, such as measurements, do not hesitate to ask.

Don’t forget that through the end of the month, there is a sale on select packs of designer series paper. Don’t miss your chance to save 15%. Click HERE for more information.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends!
