Counting Down to Convention 2015

Convention2015 logo

Excitement is in the air as thousands of demonstrators such as myself prepare to travel to Salt Lake City for the annual Convention – #Inspire.Create.Share.2015.

And guess who finally got their creativity on and began making cards to swap with other demonstrators – ME!

SPOILER ALERT!!!

If you are participating in the INK DEMOS group swap at Convention you may want to skip the rest of this post because here is the card I have designed for our swap.

Swap for Ink Demos Group

I was so happy to see the “Sheltering Tree” stamp set was carried over from the Occasions Catalog to the Annual Catalog.  I have been working up this design in my head for quite a while now and it felt awesome to finally get in out onto paper.

Here are the supplies that I used in the creation of this card, all of which are current Stampin’ Up! products.

If you wish to add any of these products to your collection, you can click on any of the above thumbnails to start a shopping list in my online store.

If you have any questions about the products I used in this card design – or about any product in the Annual Catalog – do not hesitate to ask.

I have several more card designs floating around in my brain — maybe that is why I have been having so many headaches lately (I need to unleash my creativity more) — so I expect to have more to share with you very soon.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you will come back again real soon.  Until next time, stamp on my friends!

It is time to say goodbye to retiring products from Stampin’ Up!’s 2014-2015 annual catalog.  Between now and June 2 (or while supplies last), Stampin’ Up! is giving everyone an opportunity to order their favorites with discounts up to 50% off retail.
*Note: Due to high demand for retiring stamps, Stampin’ Up! will keep producing retiring stamps until May 26 (however, all accessories are only while supplies last).

Also retiring on June 2, 2015 is Stampin’ Up!’s product line — My Digital Studio.  All MDS products, including application software, digital downloads and print services, are discounted 30% off retail.

Retiring List

The retiring lists are updated daily to show the availability of all retiring products. Download the PDF for a quick reference, or use the Excel file to sort the list by product name, price, page number, discount, availability, or product type.

Don’t wait too long to get hold of your favorite retiring items.  They will be gone before you know it.

Coming Soon … New Posts!

Sorry for the extended absence from my blog.  I think I seriously burned out creatively when I undertook the monumental task of creating all of my wedding decorations, etc. by myself.

I hope to be back in action very soon as I finish up the organization of my craft room.  I better hurry and get organized before the transition of the new catalog comes around in June!

I hope you all have enjoyed your weekend so far.  It is a beautiful day here in Carrollton, Texas.

Until next time, stamp on my friends,

Linda

A Festival of Trees on Point

I started this post almost a week ago … let’s just pretend it really hasn’t been that long ago …

I have returned home from my weekend in Oklahoma.  I had a blast at the Stampin’ Up! Unite & Excite event (#uniteexcite) on Friday night followed by the Red River Retreat on Saturday.  My husband traveled with me and we had also planned to visit with some of his family who live in Oklahoma, but the death of their dear granny had them traveling to Texas instead.  So my husband and I spent Saturday evening at the Winstar Casino instead (his suggestion) and I only lost $2.17 when all was said and done!

I had a project board on display for both days and all of my Christmas cards I have shared with you were on the board.  Here is one other card that I made that I did not get a chance to share with you last week using four new products from the Holiday Catalog — can you pick them out?

Below are the products I used in the design of this card, all of which can be purchased from my demonstrator website 24/7 with just a click of the mouse:

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  Sorry for the long wait between posts.  I will endeavor to do better.  I do have some amazing cards to share with you that we made at the retreat last weekend so stay tuned.

I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  Until next time, stamp on my friends,

Linda

A Cheerful Christmas on a Filigree Frame

I heard on the news Thursday morning that there are something like a 103 days until Christmas!  Oh my, how time flies as you get older (or at least that has been my experience).

In keeping with my theme of late — that is, focusing on projects using the Stampin’ Up! products available in the Holiday Catalog — I designed today’s card using the Cheerful Christmas stamp set and the Filigree Frame embossing folder.  These are two other products that I simply fell in love with when they were revealed at Convention in July and they were at the top of my wish list when the Holiday Catalog went live in late August.

Are you wondering how I got the two different colors of ink on the stamped image?  Well let me tell you, then.  Rather than coloring the rather large stamp with Stampin’ Write markers, I inked the entire stamp in Cherry Cobbler (Classic Stampin’ Pad) and then used a Blender Pen to remove the ink from the pine needles and recolored just those small areas with an Old Olive Stampin’ Write marker.  BUT before stamping onto card stock I “huffed” on the entire stamp to remoisten any ink that may have started to dry.  And there you go, that’s how I did it.

And here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card (click on the images to get the details on how you can order them for yourself).

Thank you again for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.

It is rather late and I have work tomorrow and then will be traveling to Oklahoma, so I will not have time to add any posts to share with you until my return on Sunday.  I expect they will be amazing so come back to see what’s new.

Until next time, stamp on my friends,

Linda

A Wondrous Wreath on a Hardwood Door

A day later than I had promised, but here is the card that I designed earlier in the week using the Wondrous Wreath bundle from the Holiday Catalog.  I fell in LOVE with this bundle when I caught a sneak peek of it in July while at Convention.  I have had this design swimming around in my head ever since!  (Hey Nancy Q., there’s a door knob!)

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card, all of which can be ordered in a flash on my demonstrator website — just click on the images below to get there.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you leave her inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  And be sure to come back again real soon as  I will have more to share with you.  I hope to get a few posts scheduled before I head to Oklahoma for the weekend.  When I return I will have tons of projects to share with you.

Until next time, stamp on my friends,

Linda

I Needed A Do-Over Watercolor Winter

Welcome back to my blog.  Today’s card that I will be sharing with you underwent some renovations a few times and I am still not quite happy with how it turned out but it is time to move on …

This was another project using the Watercolor Winter Simply Created Kit from the Holiday Catalog in a manner slightly different than the instructions provided (who reads instructions anyway, right!).

DSC06814

I just never could get the look I had envisioned inside my head to come out on the paper.  Have you ever had one of those days?

And here are the products used in the design of this card — maybe you can tweak it to make it just right :).

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  While my project I shared with you was not up to my standards, I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper and improve my card design.  I would love to see what you come up with.

Until next time, stamp on my friends,

Linda
