Toil & Trouble and Takeout Treats for Halloween

Greetings my stamping friends.  I thought I would change up my project theme to something a little more seasonal for the upcoming month of October – that would be Halloween of course.

We do not get many kiddos visiting our neighborhood for candy so for the few who do pay us a visit this year I am thinking I will make their treats a little special – more on that a bit further in this post.

First a card project that was one of the card designs from Amy Storrie’s Holiday Retreat using the products from the Toil & Trouble Suite.  Most people cringed when they saw this one because the images are a bit tiny and are all colored with Blends.  Of course I loved it!

Fortunately the suite includes a stamp set and framelits bundle that allows for easy cutout of the stamped images!

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of this card which can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

We made the cutest “takeout” treat box on Saturday using the Takeout Treats bundle.  Of course there was more coloring to be done with the Blends (love it!).  The picture makes the little box look larger than it actually is – it basically measures 2″ x 1.75″ x 2″.  Did I say it was cute?  What do you think?

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of this project which can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

Lastly Amy gave each of us a welcome gift for attending the Friday night event.  It is a treat box/sleeve that fits a snack bar (looks like a Nutter Butter bar) which also uses the Cauldron Bubble bundle.

I never eat the sweet treats I receive because I do not want to ruin the wrapping they come in!

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of this project which, again, can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

If you have any questions regarding the design elements or measurements of any of these projects please ask me.  I am happy to provide you with my tutorials FREE of charge!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Merry Christmas to All

Greetings my stamping friends.  While it is not yet cold enough here in Texas to feel like Fall, much less Winter or my favorite time of year – Christmas – today’s card project introduces you to another product bundle from the Holiday Catalog, the Merry Christmas to All bundle.

The stamp set is a “build a greeting” photopolymer stamp set and the coordinating Thinlits are larger sized script fonts of some of the stamps.  When used together or on their own they allow you to create a myriad of holiday cards.  Here is what I created to share with you.  This is another one of my projects that I couldn’t quite get onto paper from my head but I already spent two days on it so it is time to share and move on:

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card which can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

Of course the fabulous Amy Storrie had a project for us at her Holiday Retreat utilizing this product bundle.  Of course, her card design and layout is pure perfection:

And here are the additional Stampin’ Up! products that Amy used in the design of her card which can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

If you have any questions regarding design elements, measurements or anything else related to these projects, just ask.  My tutorials are always offered for FREE.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Dashing Deer Dashing Along

Greetings my stamping friends.  I got sidetracked when my drawer unit from Stamp-N-Storage arrived the other day with the drawer trays for “organizing” embellishments and the like.  While I have been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for 9+ years, I have been a customer for 13+ years and I think I have every embellishment I have ever purchased.  But because they are in those little round containers or baggies and not real “handy” I tend to forget to use them.  I now have them neatly organized next to my work station.

Unfortunately I have far more “retired” embellishments than current ones.  I must do something about that!

I did make another card to share with you a few days ago also using the Dashing Deer stamp set bundle.  During the month of September only there is a collection of designer series paper that coordinates with the Dashing Deer stamp set – Dashing Along – which you can earn for FREE when you host a workshop (in person or online) or place a customer order totaling $250 (or more) before shipping and taxes.

Host Promotion Details

  • Promotion period: September 1–30
  • Dashing Along Designer Series Paper is exclusive to the host promotion and will not be available after September 30.
  • In order to qualify, the event merchandise total must reach $250 USD(before shipping and handling).
  • One package of Designer Series Paper may be redeemed per qualifying order, with no limit on how many qualifying orders can be placed in September.
  • Customer, Workshop, and online orders qualify.
  • Dashing Along Designer Series Paper may not be redeemed using Stampin’ Rewards. Customers will receive this FREE gift with a qualifying order in addition to any Stampin’ Rewards they may earn.
  • Dashing Along Designer Series Paper may not be exchanged for other paper.

Deadlines

  • Phone: September 28, 2018 at 6:50 PM (MT)
  • Online: September 30, 2018 at 11:50 PM (MT)

Here are some samples from the Stampin’ Up! home office design team:

And without further delay, here is the card that I created:

And here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of this card which can be added to your shopping cart by simply clicking on the thumbnails below:

If you have any questions regarding the measurements or any other design elements of this card, do not hesitate to contact me.

Don’t miss out on your chance to get a FREE package of designer series paper – check your wish list and don’t forget to spend your Bonus Days coupons before the end of September!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper (and perhaps organize your embellishments so that you use them).  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Dashing Deer Under the Mistletoe

Greetings again my stamping friends.  I am sharing with you today a stamp set from the Holiday Catalog called Dashing Deer (available in both clear-mount and wood-mount).  This stamp set has a coordinating Thinlits die set which makes creating projects quick and lots of fun (also sold as a “bundle”).  Here is my card:

I copied a design layout that Amy Storrie used at her Holiday Retreat (I will show you that card later below) but changed out some of the elements.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of my card which can be added to your shopping cart with a quick click on the thumbnails below:

And now here is Amy’s card that she designed for us:

And here are the additional Stampin’ Up! products that Amy used in the design of her card which again can quickly be added to your shopping card by clicking on the thumbnails below:

If you have any questions regarding measurements or any other design elements of these cards, do not hesitate to ask!  I do not charge for my tutorials.

After my Mom saw my post from the other day using the Country Home stamp set she asked me to make her a frameable art piece based on the card Amy had designed.  Here is what I made, which measures 5″ x 7″ and will be put in a white wood frame once they arrive (love those 50% off sales at the M store!).

The supplies used are the same as provided in my prior post.  If you would like measurements to make one for yourself (or to make as gifts for friends and family), all you need to do is ask!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Country Home on Tin Tile

Greetings to all my stamping friends!  I just spent the weekend at Amy Storrie’s beautifully restored historic home in Denton, Texas at her Holiday Retreat.  We spent two days making holiday cards, decorations, gifts and gift tags – it was so refreshing to be able to go and spend time with friends who love to get their fingers all inky just like I do!

I have had today’s project sitting on my desk for about a week waiting to be photographed – and to be honest I wasn’t actually sure if I was “done” with it when I last worked on it.  But after letting it sit there and looking at it with fresh eyes I realized it was actually pretty as is.  If you like “country”, then you are going to love the stamp set I used – here you go:

The only downside to this stamp set is that there is not a coordinating set of thinlets/framelits to cut out the stamped images!

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card.  To add them to your shopping card, just click on the thumbnails below:

Amy used this product suite at her retreat and here is the card that she designed for us all to make:

Here are the additional Stampin’ Up! products that Amy used in the design of this card.  Again, simply click on the thumbnails below to add these items to your shopping cart:

This suite of products has so many possibilities.  I can’t wait to make more projects with them!

If you have any questions regarding measurements or design elements of either of these cards, do not hesitate to ask.  I will gladly provide you with a FREE tutorial.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  Until next time, stamp on my friends!

It’s Finally Here … The 2018 Holiday Catalog!

The 2018 Holiday Catalog for Stampin’ Up! went live to customers on September 5, 2o18!  If you are already an active customer of mine, you should have received a complimentary copy of the catalog in the mail in mid to late August.  If not, I have plenty of copies handy and would be more than happy to send you a copy for you and/or your friends.

August was a tough month for me and my family.  We found out that one of our beloved pets had cancer and we had to make that “quality of life” decision that no pet parent ever wants to have to make.  We had a health scare with regard to my Mom (she’s 78 and hates the phrase “people your age”) and she had some tests done on Wednesday to see if her symptoms are heart related or something else.  Then there’s the mechanical issues of the upstairs A/C unit deciding it didn’t want to cool that part of the house so it made even thinking of spending time in my craft room unbearable.  We finally bit the bullet and called out a service technician and thankfully he was able to keep it going with adding more Freon (original units to home built in 1992 – it’s just a matter of time).

So, now that we are starting a new month and I have lots of new products to play with keep a lookout for new posts from me with some amazing projects.  The new stuff in this catalog will blow your mind it is that good!

Thank you for stopping by.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

OnStage in Orlando!

Guess who will be in Orlando, FL in November. Me and about 7,500 other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators! We will be celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Stampin’ Up! and it will be a celebration you will not want to miss.

Registration opened today and as far as I know there are still seats available.

How can you attend this monumental celebration? You need to be a demonstrator – it is easy to join.

Why become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator?

  1. $99 Starter Kit includes $125 in products and can be 100% customized by you. If you are not sure what you should start with, we have a list of suggested products to help you make your selections.
  2. As a demonstrator you receive a minimum 20% discount on everything you buy.
  3. As a demonstrator you will be able to see the new products before they are released to the public PLUS you can pre-order the new products before the catalogs go live.
  4. As a demonstrator you have access to online training tips and other resources that are AMAZING and make using your new products a breeze.
  5. As a demonstrator you get to attend fun events like OnStage!
  6. There is no obligation to make further purchases once you have received your Starter Kit. However, if you wish to maintain your active status your minimum sales per month would be $100, or $300 per quarter. You will have until the end of the first full quarter after you become a demonstrator to drop or bring your sales total to the quarterly minimum (this means you will remain active through December 2018 if you joined now).

There are many other perks of being a demonstrator when you advance in title and have recruits in your downline, including a higher discount and commissions on team sales when they hit their goals. I would be happy to discuss this further with anyone who is interested.

I have been a demonstrator for 9 years as of July. My title is Bronze Elite and my discount is 25%. I have sufficient rolling sales to advance in title to Silver; however, I do not have any recruits at the moment. Join today and select me as your Direct Team Leader – I solemnly swear that you will not regret it!

Thank you for stopping by today. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Of course I just had to have this collection of crafting tools and FINALLY got over my funk long enough to complete a card!  Here is my card – the first I have made in about a month I believe.  It’s about time, right!?!

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products I used in the design of my card which can be added to your shopping cart with a quick click on the thumbnails below:

I used my new stamp placement tool – the Stamparatus – to stamp the holly boughs using a technique called “hinge stamping”.  The plates for this tool are removable and have “hinges” that are very similar to paper ripped from a spiral notebook.  I stamped the first image, moved the plate down one hinge and stamped again and repeated until I reached the end of the paper.  This is super easy and makes reproducing a card design a breeze!

Here are a few samples of projects from the design team at the Stampin’ Up! home office:

This is an amazing bundle of products.  Get yours before supplies run out or the availability period ends on August 31, 2018, whichever comes first.

Thank you for stopping by today.  If you have any questions, you just need to ask.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.
