Greetings my stamping friends. As I mentioned in my last post, I have many products from the upcoming July-December Mini Catalog and Sale-a-bration brochure. With so many great new products to choose from, it was hard to decide which ones to use first. I finally chose the Penguin Place Bundle that has coordinating designer series paper that is FREE during Sale-a-bration, Penguin Playmates.
I created the background by cutting 1/2” from each of the designs of the Penguin Playmates DSP and attached them to a roughly 4” x 5.25” piece of Basic White Cardstock using Multipurpose Glue. I then attached the completed panel to a 8.50” x 5.50” piece of Thick Basic White Cardstock that was scored and folded at 4.25”.
The penguin, fox and bear are from one of the Penguin Playmates DSP designs (pp. 4-5 of SAB). The Penguin Builder punch (p. 33 of Mini) cuts out the penguin and then I fussy cut the other two. I added a Wonderful Snowflake from the Whimsy & Wonder Suite (p. 25 of Mini) and attached the animals using dimensionals. For the bear, I just used a dimensional behind his head.
The sentiment is from the Penguin Place stamp set (p. 33 of Mini). Both the stamp set and builder punch can be purchased separately, or together as a bundle which will save you 10%.
My finishing touch was to wrap a piece of White Glittered Organdy Ribbon from the Peaceful Place Suite (p. 37) from the inside of the card to the front and finish off with a bow.
As you will note, I used products from three different bundles/suites which is a perfect example of how well Stampin’ Up! products coordinate with each other. Just one of the many reasons why I love using them.

Greetings my stamping friends. I hope you all had a safe and Happy 4th of July! One of my dogs is completely traumatized by the hundreds of fireworks that have been set off in our neighborhood starting last Friday, but thankfully the celebration did not continue into Monday night.
It has been a while since I have actually sat down at my craft table with paper, inks and stamps. I needed a card for my grandson, Jayson, who just finished his season of league baseball (he’s 14 and an amazing young man). Sadly we were only able to make it to a few games this season due to constant rain and game cancellations, but his team ended up finishing 2nd in their division in June. I wanted to send him a baseball-themed card and I was so glad that Paper Pumpkin had such a themed kit for May 2021. This made my project quick and easy since all I needed to do was assemble and some light stamping.
Here is the card I made for Jayson which I will be mailing to him this week so he receives some happy mail.
For this card, the elements on the front of the card are all die cut pieces and adhesive embellishments (the red and yellow dots). The only stamping I did on this project was the sentiment on the inside of the card using the stamp set that was included with the kit. And, yes, the Double Bubble gum was included as part of the kit. I would give these to Jayson if I wasn’t mailing it to him.

Greetings my stamping friends. I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I want to wish all the Moms a belated Happy Mother’s Day. I hope you were able to spend quality time with your families.
May 10 is actually my 7th wedding anniversary so today’s project is the card that I made for my husband.
I don’t know about you, but masculine cards are one of the most difficult for me to design. I am all about the ribbons, bling and layers when I make cards. This project is a quick and simple design with bare dimensions (believe it or not I didn’t use even one dimensional on this card!)
I used the Always in My Heart stamp set and coordinating Floral Heart Dies to make this card. To try to make it more manly, I used the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper which includes textile designs and wood/plank images. The banner for the Happy Anniversary sentiment is included in the coordinating dies set and it scores the banner where it will fold under and over to create the flying banner look. (The banner is attached with mini glue dots.) I love this die set!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a trip out to Winstar in Oklahoma. We had dinner at Kirby’s Steakhouse and then tried our luck at the slots. The wait staff at Kirby’s was amazing as was the food. We were given a choice of a free dessert in recognition of our anniversary – we chose the Chocolate Spice Cake. Oh my, it was so good!
And I came back with more money in my purse than when we left; my husband wasn’t as lucky. 😉

Greetings my stamping friends! I wanted to share a quick card with you that I made for my Mom for Mother’s Day.
If you follow my blog posts, then you likely have read posts promoting the monthly card kit from Stampin’ Up! called Paper Pumpkin. I love this monthly kit because it includes all of the supplies I need to make each month’s projects, and the projects are predesigned so I don’t have to “think” too much when I am creating with them.
Since I needed a Mother’s Day card and I’m not completely organized in my crafting space (but great progress was made on Friday!), I checked my most recent kits for a project that I could use for this purpose. I was awed by the February 2021 kit – Bouquet of Hope – and while it is meant more as sympathy or pick me up messaging, I thought I could make it work for my needs.
Tada! On the inside of the card I stamped the large bouquet of flowers in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored in the image with a variety of colors from my collection of my Stampin’ Blends (hands down one of the best alcohol marker sets on the market!). I will also write a personal message inside the card just for my Mom.
The outside design of this card is all die cuts that are included in the kit. This particular kit supplied enough materials to create 9 cards (3 each of 3 designs). A month to month subscription for the Paper Pumpkin kit is $22.00/month plus taxes (US) (shipping is included). I’m not sure how much cards cost in retail stores (since I have made all of my cards since 2009), but surely they are more than $22.00 for 9 cards! A bargain at twice the price, right!?
