Falling for Leaves #OnStage2018 Swap

I am counting down the days, hours and minutes until I catch my flight to Orlando, FL to join my friends and fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators for the 30th Anniversary Celebration of Stampin’ Up!  I have been busy (procrastinating) on swaps and other plans related to my trip and feel a little like a hamster running around on a wheel.

I finally finished one of my swap cards (I really need to get the lead out!) that I can share with you.  The layout was inspired by a friend and fellow demonstrator, Celia Cawthon.

I decided on my swap cards to remove the button and just use the braided linen trim bow but didn’t want to retake my photos so use your imagination.

Some Holiday Catalog Items No Longer Available in U.S.

May Good Things Grow – March 2018 Paper Pumpkin

Greetings my stamping friends.  I apologize for my absence but I have been tending to family emergencies.  My husband checked himself into the hospital on Tuesday morning and wasn’t released until Friday afternoon.  It was a bit frightening to go through the whole ordeal and wait on test results but he is on medications which we hope will strengthen his heart and we are implementing some lifestyle changes pronto!

I am sharing with you today another Paper Pumpkin kit that I started working on last week.  This one is from March 2018 and is adorable.  It contained supplies to make eight greeting cards (four each of two designs) and eight “seed packets” (four each of two designs).  Here are the finished projects:

Paper Pumpkin – Friends of a Feather

Greetings once again my stamping friends.  Today I am sharing another Paper Pumpkin kit with you, this one was the October 2018 kit – Friends of a Feather.  This kit made 8 cards (4 each of two designs) and I have lots of left over pieces that I can use on other projects!  Here are the cards, which are pretty much as designed in the kit with a small modification by me.

I added the light turquoise leaf on the front.

I added the navy leaf sprig on the tag.

Takeout Treats (or Tricks)

Greetings my stamping friends.  As the temperatures are going to change drastically overnight I thought I would share a Halloween treat project with you.  I managed to get another order processed with some of the new Halloween products from the Holiday Catalog and I have the greatest of intentions to make cute treats for my neighbors and dearest friends.

Now I just need to find something worthy to put inside each little box!

I also used floral wire that I wrapped around a paint brush handle to create the floating spring for the flying ghost.

Peaceful Noel Meets Winter Woods in the Round

Greetings my stamping friends.  I have another original design project to share with you today.  Similar to my project from yesterday, I used the Stamparatus and my template to create a wreath, but I spent a little extra time doing some fussy cutting.  Here is the card so you can see what I mean:

I started with a 3″ square piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamped the two-step branch from the Peaceful Noel stamp set and then fussy cut out the wreath.  I stamped the pine cones from the Winter Woods stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating framelits.

Even with the fussy cutting of the wreath (TIP:  I made an “X” in the center using an Exacto Knife to make it easier to cut out the inside of the wreath), this was a pretty simple project.  If you have any questions regarding any measurements or other design elements, do not hesitate to ask me.  As you may have read by now, my tutorials are always offered to my subscribers for FREE.

A Peaceful Noel in the Round

Greetings my stamping friends.  Today I have an original design to share with you.  With my A/C upstairs replaced and the cooler weather my crafting space is now a pleasant room to spend time in.

First I will share with you my card and then explain how I created the focal point.

Can you guess what stamping tool I used to help me create my wreath?  If you guessed the Stampartus, then you would be correct!  I first created a “template” which would allow me to stamp on paper that is either 3″, 4″ or 5″ square and laminated it for protection from staining:

I placed my appropriately sized paper in the square and held it in place with the magnets and placed the stamp where I wanted it to start and then “picked it up” with one of the plates, inked it, stamped, rotated my paper 1/4 turn and repeated until I had a completed wreath.  It really is that easy!
