Happiness Blooms for Incredible Like You

Greetings my stamping friends. Whether you are a new crafter just discovering the wonderful products available from Stampin’ Up! or you are a seasoned Stampin’ Up! customer, you will love just how well the products and colors coordinate so well with each other. I know that I do!

I wanted to make a “quick and easy” project today using either some designer series paper or Memories & More cards as my focal point. I decided “why not use both?” so that’s exactly what I did!

As you can see there is minimal stamping involved and actually very little in supplies used. I even got “daring” and mounted my center piece a little off kilter which drives my ADD a little nuts but is all the rage these days. I wish you could see the embossed shine on the Memories & More card – it’s just beautiful!

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card which can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

ORGANDY RIBBON COMBO PACK SOLD OUT

Update from the Stampin’ Up! Home Office:

“The Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack (item 149623) may be one of our most popular Sale-A-Bration items ever. It’s been so popular, in fact, that it has exceeded our product forecast and sold out in our North American markets. We have a shipment coming in to fulfill backorders, but because this item has been in such high demand, we have been forced to turn off the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack. Unfortunately, this initial shipment will help us fulfill only orders that have already been placed. Once backorders have been fulfilled, a second shipment will arrive at the beginning of March, which will allow us to turn on this item again; it will be available while supplies last only.

We’re so sorry for the inconvenience.”

If you have this ribbon on your wish list stay tuned. I will update you once the item is available again for purchase.

More posts to share later. Until then, stamp on my friends.

A Lasting Lily With Sympathy

Greetings my stamping friends. Yikes what a cold weekend we are having here in North Central Texas! As is typical for Texas weather, the temperatures will once again climb into the 60’s by the middle of the week. Some parts of North Texas got enough snow to make a snowball, but at my house we didn’t see a single flake.

I am sharing with you today another card that I started a day or more ago that I had to let sit to make sure it was “done”. The trend right now is #simplestamping which I guess is the new hashtag for “less is more” in the stamping arena. I personally love using bling, ribbons, layers and die cuts on my projects so it is going to take me a while to adjust to this concept. However, I think today’s card could fall into this category.

What do you think?

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card which can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below. (NOTE: Two of the products are Sale-a-Bration items and can only be earned according to their level value.)

Product List

The Lasting Lily stamp set is a Level 2 item and is FREE with a $100 purchase (before shipping and taxes. The Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack is a Level 1 item and is FREE with a $50 purchase (before shipping and taxes).

If you have any questions regarding any design elements of this card, do not hesitate to ask me. I gladly share my projects for FREE.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

A Thank You with Needle & Thread

Greetings my stamping friends. {Insert heavy sigh here.} Today is the first time since Saturday that I have had the desire to even step foot into my craft room. I had started a card on Friday of last week, I think, that I put the final touches on today that I am now going to share with you.

This card took me a while to get right. I wanted to use Blushing Bride as the card base but for some reason I have trouble using colors other than Whisper White, Very Vanilla or Crumb Cake as card bases. Maybe I can overcome that hang up this year.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card which can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

Product List

If you have any questions regarding any of the design elements of this card, do not hesitate to ask. My tutorials are shared with you for FREE.

If you take a really close look at the designer series paper in this product suite, you will notice that many of the designs have detailed needlepoint stitches on them. How do they do that you ask? Well here is a video from the Stampin’ Up! home office and the product development team that explains just how painstakingly they design and create these beautiful papers for you to use in your projects:

Wow! These guys and gals are so talented! That would be my dream job, but then I would have to move to Utah ….

A Botanical Butterfly Gingham Gala Birthday

Greetings my stamping friends. Today, Saturday, January 12, is my Mom’s 79th birthday! We gathered as a family last night at Olive Garden (Party of 11!) for a pre-birthday celebration. I got to spend some time with my sister, her daughter and granddaughter from Lake Conroe/Katy area who drove up for the weekend. The highlight of the evening is when young Olivia kept calling Uncle Steve “Rhonda”, who is his wife and one of my other sisters!

Of course I made my Mom a birthday card and since she has it I can now share it with you all as today’s project:

For this project I let designer series paper do most of the work for me. I have a confession to make. I buy designer series paper — a LOT of designer series paper — but I tend to not use it once I have it. It’s always so pretty that I hate to cut it; then I will obviously run out of it if I use it and (with the exception of a few packs) they do not carry over from year to year. So this year I have decided I WILL use it on almost all of my projects.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of this project which can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

Product List

Did you notice that I used TWO products that are available for FREE during Sale-a-Bration? The Botanical Butterfly DSP and the Organdy Ribbon are both FREE each with a $50 purchase (before taxes and shipping)! Also a cool tip to share is that the Butterfly Duet Punch will punch out butterflies from several of the sheets of the Botanical Butterfly DSP which made today’s project super quick and easy.

If you have any questions regarding the design elements of this card, do no hesitate to ask. I happily share my instructions for FREE.

A Lovely Lattice Butterfly Gala Thank You

Greetings my stamping friends. The project I am sharing with you today was actually completed yesterday. However, my laptop wanted to scan my c: drive for errors and then updated Windows again. During that time I finished making the Thank You cards for my husband, a little box to put them in and the framed memorial for the service on Saturday. Once the computer was ready for use I was beyond “over it” and simply headed off to bed rather than continue fighting with technology. Now I discover that WordPress has changed their post format so hopefully this post gets completed and submitted without issue as my patience is thin these days.

Now for the project. I used one of the stamp sets I received as a Prize Patrol at #OnStage2018 in Orlando, Florida in November — Lovely Lattice. Here is my card:

The Lovely Lattice stamp set is FREE as part of Sale-a-Bration with a $50 purchase (before taxes and shipping). Don’t let the detail of the larger stamp intimidate you. You can leave it uncolored, color just a few of the flowers, or color just one flower that you “pop up” with dimensionals. Your options are only as limited as your imagination (and samples on Pinterest)!

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card which can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

I used the Lovely Lipstick emboss powder from the 2018-2020 In-Color collection.

If you have any questions regarding any of the design elements of this card, do not hesitate to contact me. I am happy to share my project instructions with you for FREE.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Nine Lives + Happy Tails = Friends Forever

Greetings my stamping friends.  Today I did a little bit of this and a little bit of that which did include spending time in my stamping room (yay!).  I first worked on a framed item that will be used at my stepson’s Memorial on Saturday after hooking up my new Canon printer that prints up to 12 x 12 pages (woohoo!).

My project for today uses two new stamp sets from the Occasions Catalog — Nines Lives and Happy Tails.  One coordinates with the Cat Punch which was previously released and the other coordinates with a brand new Dog Builder Punch!  I’m so excited to have a new stamp set for the Cat Punch and glad to finally have a dog one.  Here is today’s card:

Aren’t those fur babies cute?!?  I was inspired by the love and affection between my 2-year old Black Mouth Cur dog Ella and our 3-month old kitten Jenna.  Ella is so gentle, loving and projective of Jenna it just boggles the mind.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card which can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

Keep in mind that with every $50 or $100 purchase you earn Sale-a-Bration rewards, i.e. the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper that I used in this project.  It was FREE with a $50 purchase!

If you have any questions regarding any design elements of this project, do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Love What You Do with a Thank You

Greetings my stamping friends.  It is way past my bedtime but my laptop decided that my Windows operating system just had to be updated before it would let me do anything this evening.  (It would have been nice to have noticed this while I was creating today’s project!)

Now that my laptop is back in operation I can share with you today’s project which is another #simplestamping project, but not one that qualifies for the January challenge.  My husband and I are going to need a lot of Thank You cards to send to friends and family for their gifts of flowers, plants and donations in honor of Chad.  I have not “bought” cards of any kind since I discovered the art of stamping back in 2005 so of course I wanted to design and make our Thank You cards.  Here’s what I came up with:

I love how it turned out — simple but still a little bit elegant.  What do you think?

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card which can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

I have beat my record from yesterday for the fewest number of products used on a project!

Now I just hope it meets with my husband’s approval so I can reproduce enough for our needs.

If you have any questions regarding the design of this card, do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Meant to Be for Valentines

Greetings my stamping friends.  I hope you all had a relaxing weekend and that if you are a football fan that the teams you wanted to win came through for you (thankfully mine did – #COWBOYS).

I felt rather poorly this weekend.  Perhaps it was the stress of the past few months or I caught something from relatives around the holidays, but I have been extremely tired, headachy and have a sore throat.  Seems like there is always something trying to keep me away from my stamping playground.  However, I did stay up this evening working on a project for January’s #simplestamping challenge from Stampin’ Up!.  Here are the instructions for this month’s challenge:

Theme: Valentine’s Day
Supplies: Stamps, ink, and paper.
Bonus Material/Tool: You may use a punch.

(Remember to keep your project simple, share it using #simplestamping, and most of all—have fun!)

And here is what I came up with (sadly it took me about four attempts to get it just right – ugh stamp halos are the worst):

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card (I think this is a record for me as to the least number of products used – ever):

I used the “masking technique” on the hearts to eliminate the right side of the larger heart from stamping on the left side of the floral heart.  To do this technique you simply stamp a copy of the image that you are wanting to preserve on a scrap piece of paper, fussy cut it out and lay it over the stamped image on your project.  Then stamp the other image(s) and remove the “mask” when you are done.  Easy peasy.

If you have any questions regarding the design of this card, do not hesitate to ask.

Since this was a project for the #simplestamping challenge I was limited to what I could use in my design.  Otherwise I would have included bling and die cuts to dress it up a bit.  Of course Stampin’ Up! offers coordinating products that I could have used with this stamp set, Meant to Be.  Here is a YouTube video that introduces the coordinating Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies:

There are so many fabulous product suites in the new Occasions Catalog.  I cannot wait to share them with you.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.
