#OnStage2019 Midday Break

Time is flying by. We have already had our lunch break and our first Make & Take session after several stage presentations featuring new products bundles and suites.

One presenter was the very talented Meg Daves from I Teach Stamping who demonstrated the To a Wild Rose bundle inspired by Million Dollar Sales Achiever Mary Ellen Byer.

Job well done, Meg! You made your fellow Texas demonstrators proud.

Here is one of the Make & Takes we did today featuring some of the products from the Bird Ballad Suite:

As you will see I made a slight modification to the layout.

I did not make the second card because it required die cutting and these tools were not provided. I will plan on making this one once I have these products in hand.

I will have more to share later. Until then, stamp in my friends.

OnStage Bound

I am on my way to San Antonio, Texas to join over 800 other demonstrators for training and inspiration as we are introduced to the new products in the upcoming Annual Catalog. I have seen some sneak peeks from the OnStage Live event in Auckland, New Zealand and I can say that what I have seen is FANTASTIC!

My day started off a bit on the rocky side. My husband and I boarded our dogs for this trip and one of our dogs — JoJo — is newly adopted.

She is not quite 2 years old and was surrendered by her original humans after about a year and again by an adoptive human after 2 days just a few days before we adopted her 2 months ago. I was nervous about boarding her in fear that she would think she was being abandoned again. Sadly she pulled out of her harness as we were walking towards the runs but thankfully did not run off once I called her name. I had to struggle to carry her the last 30 yards or so as my husband and kennel employee weren’t paying me any attention as they had our other dog, Ella. Needless to say I cried for a while after leaving them this morning. I just feel like a terrible human right now. Am I the only one who loves their dogs this much? Surely not!

I will have a long drive to San Antonio today. My husband is self-employed as a food and beverage broker and has planned numerous client calls along the way (and likely a little out of the way). I hope I can manage to not strangle him before we get there. We are traveling in my vehicle and he is a bumper rider; he texts while he drives; and he is constantly on his cell phone. Our conversations so far have consisted of “Me: school zone; Him: Would you just let me drive! … Me: Would you please put that phone down; Him: Would you please let me drive! Me: But we are approaching stopped traffic you need to pay attention; Him: I need to work. Me: If I need to drive so you can work I will.” If you hear a story about me on the news, this is the back story! We haven’t even left Dallas yet!

My fun begins tomorrow. I will share as much as I can with you as soon as I have it. Stay tuned!

Thank you for stopping by. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

I “CASE’D” Myself!

In between madly posting old retired stamp sets on the Facebook closed group “Stampin’ Down & Up Buy, Sell, ISO” and trying to clean up and organize my disaster of a craft room, I actually did make another swap card for the upcoming #OnStage2019 event in San Antonio which is just a few days away now.

I know I told myself that I needed to go “clean and simple” with my next set of swap cards, but I do have a bit of a stubborn streak which my husband can well attest to. But rather than create an entirely new card design, I simply made a small tweak to a card I designed a while ago. Here is the redesigned card:

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the creation of this card, which you can add to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

Product List

If you would like to see the original card I designed, check out my December 14, 2018 Humming Along Sneak Peek post.

If you have any questions regarding any of the design elements of this card, do not hesitate to ask. My tutorials are always provided to you at no charge.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Linda

Hmmm … wonder if I have time to work in another swap …!

Upcoming Product Line Changes

I am sure many of you have heard through the Stampin’ Up! grapevine that it was announced in Tuesday’s updates from the Stampin’ Up! home office that with the release of the new Annual Catalog on June 3, 2019 there will be a few changes to product lines previously offered in our catalogs.

Stampin’ Trimmer Discontinuation

Stampin’ Up! has decided to retire the Stampin’ Trimmer as of June 3, 2019, including all accessories — replacement cutting blades, scoring blades, and cutting mats. We’ve experienced challenges with our supplier and are taking the opportunity to research and explore a replacement option for this product, which will not be the same as the current Stampin’ Trimmer. There will be a gap in time between when the current Stampin’ Trimmer retires and when a new product becomes available, but we do not currently have an estimated timeframe. Once we feel confident in the new offering, more details will be shared with you.

While the replacement cutting blades will also retire with the trimmer and will not be featured in the annual catalog, we have what would normally be six months of inventory based on recent historical patterns to help during this transition away from our current trimmer. When the retiring list goes live on April 15, the order limit for the blades will increase from three (3) to six (6) (and the limit will remain at six (6) until they’re no longer available). And from now until September, we will receive intermittent shipments from the supplier. Throughout these months, we anticipate times when the blades will not be orderable (and not offered as a backorder). During those downtimes, you will have the option to enter an email address to receive notification when the blades are available again.

If you wish to set aside a few blades now, or get a trimmer before they are gone for good (I really love mine and will hate to see it go!), below are quick links to my online store:

Die-Cutting and Embossing Product Line Changes

Stampin’ Up! is also making some big changes to our die-cutting and embossing product line that will give us a better opportunity to support the long-term vision we have for the line. While we’ve worked with our current supplier for many years, we’ve had the opportunity to reassess this relationship. After extensive research, demonstrator feedback, and evaluation, we’ve decided to move in a new direction.

In our pursuit of a better overall die-cutting and embossing product line, we’re experiencing more significant challenges than we originally planned for, including some transition issues like the die inventory problems we experienced beginning in March.

Rather than rush something to market, Stampin’ Up! continues to evaluate their options to make sure that they offer a die-cutting & embossing machine that is of high quality, thoroughly considered, and a dependable product. As such, we will not offer a die-cutting & embossing machine in the 2019–2020 annual catalog. Our product development department is moving with responsible haste to work through this issue, and we will share more information as things are finalized.

However, we will offer new dies and embossing folders in the 2019–2020 annual catalog. Since we’re using a new supplier, the dies and folders will be manufactured differently; this means the way you use the new style of dies and folders will be a little different than how you used the old style. Both the new-style and old-style dies and embossing folders can work with any die-cutting & embossing machine, including the Big Shot, (in some cases, adaptations like shims may be required because the gap between rollers on machines may vary slightly between manufacturers). Another change required in this transition is to the terminology we use to refer to die-cutting and embossing products.

If you want to stock up on fresh cutting plates and other accessories for your Big Shot, below are quick links to my online store:

Product List

Whew! That’s a lot of information all at once. If you would like to always be one of the first to be “in the know” when it comes to all news about Stampin’ Up!, then become a demonstrator like me and you will have all of this information at your fingertips every day.

I would LOVE to have you as a member of my downline. I am still in need of JUST ONE RECRUIT so that I can reach the title of SILVER. I would be forever grateful. You would automatically save 20% off of everything you buy as a Bronze level demonstrator; then 25% once you reach Bronze Elite. OnStage San Antonio 2019 Swap #1

OMG! Someone please hit me upside my head for designing such a detail oriented card for my organized group swap. Thankfully I love and adore the group of ladies I will be swapping with (Jann McCollom’s INK Demos and Amy Storries’ Stamped with Joy Demos) so they are well worth the extra effort. I still have 26 bows to make to complete my collection of cards but I had my one example card completed so I could at least take photos to finally share with you all.

And yes I even stamped the inside of these swap cards, something that I do not normally do!

I was disappointed in myself to discover that I used a retired ribbon on this project but I wanted to use a Whisper White ribbon and this is the only one I had two spools of. I could have sworn it was current. My apologies to my swap pals, but they should be able to easily substitute something current.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card that are still available for purchase through my online store. Note that the embossing folder is a Sale-A-Bration item through March 31, but will be carried in the new Annual Catalog when that releases in June.

Product List

Wow. That may be a record for the most products used on one project for me!

I really want to make some general swap cards, but I need to tell myself “clean and simple” is the way to go!

If you have any questions on how I created any of the design elements of this card, do not hesitate to ask. I am always happy to answer any questions, give creative assistance or explain how to do a technique or use a new tool. And in case you need a reminder, my tutorials are always FREE with no strings attached!

(TOP TIP: I used my Stamparatus when stamping the tag and inside of the cards. I cut out all of my tags first on the Big Shot. I then put one of the remnants of the tag into the Big Shot and placed the cut tag into the spot it was cut out from. I placed my stamp on the tag until it was straight and picked it up with one of the stamping plates. I then inked the stamp and repeated however many times I needed to stamp a tag. Perfect every time!)

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

P.S. My apologies for lack of posts lately. I am still fighting a bacterial infection of some kind (starting third antibiotic), my Mom is again in the hospital (third time in two months) and I am trying to finish my swaps for OnStage in two weeks. I feel like I am running on a hamster wheel some days. Please hang in there with me. I will return to normal soon hopefully!

Sale-A-Bration Countdown

Wow, there are only 12 days left to take advantage of Stampin’ Up!’s greatest promotion of the year – SALE-A-BRATION! While the items you are able to pick from for your FREE redemption item is getting smaller as each day passes due to inventory depletion, there are still some amazing products remaining.

One of the newest and really hot items right now is the Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

I actually have some magic going on in my craft room using this very same embossing folder. Did you know that this folder WILL CARRY OVER TO THE NEW ANNUAL CATALOG!?!

Oh my. Just what could I be working on? Swaps for the upcoming OnStage event in San Antonio in April? Perhaps. I just hope I didn’t over design my card and have enough time to sponge my flowers! I promise to share the finished card with you.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to sponge to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

P.S. I saw my primary care doctor yesterday and am on a new antibiotic and Prednisone. So hopefully I will kick this laryngitis to the curb soon!

Paper Pumpkin Gets “Distinktive” for April

Greetings my stamping friends. It’s still a bit of a struggle here in my home trying to handle real life matters and health issues. If it’s not me or my husband it is my Mom but we did get some happy blessings in our family yesterday with the birth of my great nephew Ryder John Poole, the first child of my niece Shelby.

Paper Pumpkin just had a Birthday earlier this month and I am patiently waiting to receive my kit to see the awesome project they put together for me. Until then they are sharing a little bit of information about the April kit:

Here at Paper Pumpkin, we love providing easy, fast, and fun creative experiences for our subscribers. We do this in a cost-saving and time-efficient way: by delivering a cute package filled with fun papercrafting goodies . . . right to your door.

In addition to providing everything you need to make a pre-designed, all-inclusive project, we also have another goal in mind: to help you unlock and explore your creativity by introducing you to exciting and innovative products from Stampin’ Up!

In April’s Paper Pumpkin kit, we’re pleased to announce that we’ll be treating you to something extra-special: Stampin’ Up!’s brand new Distinktive® stamp images.

What are “distinktive” stamps?

  • Distinktive stamps give you photo-realistic images with just one stamp. They have a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step.
  • These stamps are available only from Stampin’ Up! and are made using a patent-pending process.
  • Distinktive stamps are available in red rubber and photopolymer; Paper Pumpkin’s April kit includes photopolymer stamps.
  • Shop Distinktive stamps in the online store by searching “Distinktive,” or look for the Distinktive icon in Stampin’ Up! catalogs.

These kits are truly worth every penny and come straight to your mailbox once a month when you become a subscriber.

I finally finished one of my February 2019 kits which I can now share with you. You may remember the sneak peek video teasers of succulents and dirt. Well this is what came in the box:

The kit included enough supplies to make nine (9) cards (three (3) each of the three (3) designs above). I followed the directions as the original design was perfect.

Becoming a Paper Pumpkin subscriber is simple. You can ask me for help or simply click HERE to create an account.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Third Release of Sale-A-Bration Items

The Sale-A-Bration products have been flying off the shelves at the distribution center at a pace beyond expectations that many of the selections have sold out and are no longer available.

In addition to the above free items, the following coordination products are also sold out:

I know it can be frustrating if you have these on your list and now cannot order them. To help ease your frustration there is now a THIRD offering of products for you to choose a FREE item from:

Seven of the items are from the Annual Catalog; the eighth item is offering the lovely Painted Seasons DSP separately rather than as a bundle with the stamp set.

As you may have gathered from the quick sell outs of these products, you will want to place your order sooner rather than later if you want to add any of these items to your crafting arsenal.

If you should have any questions or need help placing your order, do not hesitate to contact me directly. I still have a touch of laryngitis but can struggle through a conversation if needed.

Thank you for stopping by today. Until next time, stamp on my friends.
