Making Christmas Bright

Greetings my stamping friends.  If you are as old as I am then you remember Christmas lights as being the big red and green bulbs that screwed into sockets strung on heavy electrical wires.  These are still my favorite type of lights but are sometimes difficult to find and much more expensive than the little bitty twinkle lights.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the Making Christmas Bright bundle in the Holiday Catalog – a stamp set and bulb builder punch featuring these marvelous lights!  And of course Amy Storrie had a project for us at her Holiday Retreat using the products from the All is Bright product suite that coordinate with this bundle.  Here is the card:

Super cute and simple, right!  I love the designer series paper in this product suite.  It has the realistic photographic image on one side and a graphic design on the other side.  Those light bulbs on the DSP look like you could just grab them and put them on your string of lights!

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of this card which can be added to your shopping cart by simply clicking on the thumbnails below:

This was a fun card to make.  If you have any questions as to measurements or any other design elements just ask.  All of my tutorials are provided for FREE.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Linda

    HI Linda,

This card is beautiful! Would you mind sharing the measurements with me?

    Thank you!

    • Absolutely! I will get those to you shortly!

    • MEASUREMENTS FOR CARD:

Card base is standard A2 (8.5″ x 11″ cut in half and scored at 4.25″)
Real Red layer is 4″ x 5.25″ (if you want to conserve paper make it 4″ x 2.50″)
      DSP layer is 4″ x 3″
Call Me Clover layer is 3.25″ x 3.75″
      Whisper White layer is 3″ x 3.50″
The Call Me Clover ribbon is wrapped front to back and attached with snail; a faux bow attached with glue dot to front.

The Real Red and DSP piece is adhered directly to card base with snail. The Call Me Clover and Whisper White piece are popped up with dimensionals. The light bulbs are attached with dimensionals also.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. My apologies for the delayed response – my cat decided she wanted some lap time this evening.
