Of course I just had to have this collection of crafting tools and FINALLY got over my funk long enough to complete a card!  Here is my card – the first I have made in about a month I believe.  It’s about time, right!?!

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products I used in the design of my card which can be added to your shopping cart with a quick click on the thumbnails below:

I used my new stamp placement tool – the Stamparatus – to stamp the holly boughs using a technique called “hinge stamping”.  The plates for this tool are removable and have “hinges” that are very similar to paper ripped from a spiral notebook.  I stamped the first image, moved the plate down one hinge and stamped again and repeated until I reached the end of the paper.  This is super easy and makes reproducing a card design a breeze!

Here are a few samples of projects from the design team at the Stampin’ Up! home office:

This is an amazing bundle of products.  Get yours before supplies run out or the availability period ends on August 31, 2018, whichever comes first.

Thank you for stopping by today.  If you have any questions, you just need to ask.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

New Stampin’ Blends Are Now Available!

The wait is finally over!  The shipment of the newest colors of the Stampin’ Blends alcohol based markers that were offered with the release of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog have finally arrived at the Stampin’ Up! warehouse.  I am about to submit my order for the 11 new color combo pack; if you have had these markers on your wish list patiently anticipating their availability act quickly while they are in stock.  Based on earlier popularity, I would not be surprised to see these go into backorder status.

The items with a red “N” next to them in the above photo are the new colors.  To make your ordering easier, I have included thumbnails for all of the Stampin’ Blends in my online store below:

Even better news is that I have somewhat mastered climbing up and down the stairs in my home wearing my walking boot and using a cane!  This means that I have full access to all of my crafting tools.  Once I get everything back in order after my husband’s searching efforts for the past three months – plus purging retired and adding in the new products – I will be back in business!

Thank you for stopping by today.  Until next time, stamp on my friends!

Painted Glass in Memory of Beth Grace

I received some heart breaking news today that a dear friend of mine who I met through Stampin’ Up! died this past weekend after fighting lung cancer (and she didn’t even smoke).  I last saw her back in April for a short period of time when I attended the first few hours of OnStage in Ft. Worth.  She had been on my mind all last weekend and I had intended to reach out to chat with her this weekend but we ran out of time.

I first met Beth back in 2010, when I was attending my first Stampin’ Up! Convention in Salt Lake City (“Share What You Love”).  I needed a roommate and had posted on a message board and that’s how we met.  Every year after that when we both attended we were roommates and always had a blast.  Here is a picture of us at “The Rock” after we toured the Stampin’ Up! offices in 2011:

Beth’s favorite color is purple so in her honor and memory I designed my project today with her in mind.  I hope you like it.  It was inspired by a card that Mary Fish cased that was created by Ruth Petsel.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card which can be added to your online shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

I also used the following Stampin’ Write Markers to color the backside of the vellum images:  Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Mossy Meadow.  These markers are not sold separately and are available as a set of 40 (with a storage case) #147154 $123.00; or by Color Collection: Neutrals #147158 $30.00; Brights #147157 $30.00; Subtles #147156 $30.00; Regals #147155 $30.00.

If you have any questions regarding the design or measurements of this card, please ask.

Be sure to take some time to tell your friends and family how much they mean to you today – tomorrow may be too late.  I appreciate each and every one of you and send you all a virtual hug.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Rooted In Nature Meets Delightfully Detailed

I am having one of those design blocks where what formulates in my head does not turn out as I had expected on paper.  But to show you that not every project I undertake to make is a home run I wanted to share today’s card and get some feedback from you all as to what I could do to make it “better”.

First here is the card:

First, I didn’t have any vellum with me in my downstairs “cell” so I improvised and used a piece of the tissue paper that came in the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut DSP.  I’m thinking maybe I should have stamped the sentiment in Memento Black so that it popped more.  I like the cluster of laser flowers in the top left, but the leaves and loose flowers at the bottom are a mess.  This one definitely needs a do-over.

If you would like to try and improve on my design, here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card:

Don’t forget to use this Month’s Hostess Code — XFDEM34V — when you place your online order through my store.

I would love to see your version of this card!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  Until next time, stamp on my friends!

Detailed With Love In Color

I need to be better about posting my finished projects to my blog.  I have had the following cards sitting next to my laptop waiting to be photographed and shared with you all for nearly a week – shame on me!

My cards were inspired by Amy Storrie who is part of my upline family in Stampin’ Up! and usually goes live on Facebook once a week.  Her layout and design concept was used, but I changed some measurements, embellishments (ribbon) and I used the new 2018-2020 In Color cardstock and inks.

LOVELY LIPSTICK:

GRAPEFRUIT GROVE:

CALL ME CLOVER:

PINEAPPLE PUNCH:

BLUEBERRY BUSHEL:

I used one piece of the 12 x 12 Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Designer Series Paper that I painstakingly cut by hand* into 6″ x 3″ pieces.  The In Color cardstock mats are cut to 5.25″ x 2.75″.  I used multipurpose glue to attached the laser cut DSP to the cardstock and trimmed off the excess once dried.

*DO NOT attempt to cut this laser-cut DSP with a sliding blade trimmer.  The bits will catch and rip your paper.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of these cards which can be added to your shopping cart with a quick click on the thumbnails below:

Don’t forget to use this month’s HOSTESS CODE = XFDEM34V when you place your online order through my store.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Monthly Hostess Codes

Greetings again my stamping friends.  I am going to try something a little new (for me) and that is to offer a FREE product from me for those of you who place a $50.00+ order through my online store and use the monthly Hostess Code.

Each month I will update the hostess code section on my blog home page which is just beneath my contact information on the right side.

This month’s Hostess Code is XFDEM34V.  You will need to have a customer account on Stampin’ Up!’s website and will want to be sure you have selected me to be your demonstrator.

This month’s FREE gift will be a packet of Faceted Dots (Item #146910, $6.00) and a handmade card.

If you have any questions about the process, please ask.

Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Share What You Love Wedding Card

I actually made a few cards during the past few weeks that I never got around to posting on my blog.  I am still in love with the Share What You Love designer series paper which is available for purchase separately (instead of as part of a bundle as it was offered in May on early release) so I just had to use this particular paper to create a card for a young couple who got married in late May.

As you will notice, I cut the piece of designer series paper into thirds and layered each piece onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock.  I attached the three panels to the front with dimensionals and there is a layer of Petal Pink cardstock underneath those panels on top of the thick Whisper White card base.

I also decorated the inside of the card, but I wrote on the inside of it before I took photos so excuse the redaction markings!

If you have any questions as to how I made this card, just ask.  I will need to recalculate the measurements but would be happy to do so.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of this card which can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

Say Hello to the New Annual Catalog

I am a little late getting out of the gate to announce the launch of the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog from Stampin’ Up!  I was filled with good intentions to create and post projects but have been a bit down in the dumps over my slow ankle recovery.  I am still getting around in a wheelchair and walker and have a wound that has not fully healed on the inside of my ankle bone which makes wearing a walking boot extremely painful.  Hanging in there, day by day.

If you do not have a copy of the new catalog to drool over and put post-it notes on every page to mark all of the stuff you must have, just ask for one and I will send you a printed copy for FREE!

To help you get a little excited about what you will see in the new catalog, here is a stop action video from Stampin’ Up!

Hopefully I will snap out of my funk soon and will have some projects to share with you using the new products.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Until next time, stamp on my friends.
