Celebrating 10 Years with Stampin’ Up!

Greetings my stamping friends! July 16th marked my 10 year Anniversary as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator! Woohoo!!!

Help me celebrate my Anniversary!

As a token of my appreciation to my customers, if you place a minimum $50.00 order through my demonstrator website now through the end of July 2019, you will receive a FREE gift from me consisting of five (5) hand-made cards of random designs PLUS your choice of Faceted Gems in either Clear or Gold (see page 178 of the Annual Catalog). These FREE gifts will be shipped to you from me in August.

HOST CODE: MXE6VNYA

I have created a Work Shop Host Code as reflected above for you to use so that I, as the hostess, can receive the accumulative hostess benefits for orders that are less than $150.00. If your order is $150.00 or more, do not use the host code, you will want the hostess benefits for yourself!

Bonus Days!

And don’t forget that you earn a $5.00 coupon that you can use in August for every $50.00 you spend in July (before taxes and shipping) in July!

From now until August 31, new demonstrators will receive an additional $30 US to put toward bonus products in their Starter Kit. THEN, they’ll receive a $10 US coupon code the following month.

So what does this mean to you? A Starter Kit is $99.00 in the US. For that fee, you now select $155.00 worth of Stampin’ Up! products. Plus, the following month you will have a $10.00 US coupon to use towards anything else you wish to purchase. The best thing about the Starter Kit is that it is 100% customizable by YOU. You are not required to purchase anything that you do not want or need. Of course, if you are not sure what you would need, we have a recommended supply list ready for you to use as a reference.

What are the benefits of becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator? You immediately begin receiving a 20-25% discount or commission (depending on your title) on all purchases or customer sales. You have access to a large community of like-minded creative artists who love to share what they do. You are among the first to hear about the new and exciting products offered by Stampin’ Up!, including the new catalogs a month or more before they are released to the general public — PREORDER! OnStage events and making new friends. And so much more.

What are you waiting for? I would love to help you sign up and have you as one of my team members. That would be an awesome way to celebrate my 10 year Anniversary!

Thank you for stopping by today. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Pressed Petals Greetings

Greetings my stamping friends. I have been pinging around between projects and thought I’d take a moment and share with you two I finally finished!

The new Annual Catalog that was released in June has an amazing selection of designer series paper to pick from and one of my favorites is the Pressed Petals Specialty:

It looks like freshly pressed flowers and makes creating beautiful projects a snap. Here are two cards designs I made using this paper as my main design element.

I just love how the flowers and leaves seem to pop out of the paper. Makes my creative process easy once I get up the nerve to cut it that is.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the designs of these cards:

Product List

If you have any questions regarding the design of these cards, do not hesitate to ask. I always share my project designs for FREE!

I have several more projects to share with you if I can ever focus my energy on one thing at a time. It’s been hard to do that lately, but I will try.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Free as a Bird Meets Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards

Greetings my stamping friends!

So far I would have to say one of my favorite product suites from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog is the Bird Ballard Suite. I used two products from this suite in today’s project (I could have used more but I was trying to keep it simple!) as well as DSP from another. Let me know what you think.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card which can be added to your online cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

Product List

As a matter of personal choice, I cut the fronts off the laser cut cards and trimmed the border all around to be as narrow as possible. I then added a mat of Mossy Meadow and used Very Vanilla Thick card stock as my card base. I saved the backs of the cards for stamping the birds sitting on the branches using my Stamparatus so I could be sure to get a crisp image by restamping if necessary. I then fussy cut the birds by hand.

If you have any questions regarding any other design elements of this card, do not hesitate to ask. I am here to help – it’s sort of “my job”.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Paper Pumpkin – Hugs from Shelli (Altered)

I am a little behind on assembling my Paper Pumpkin kits but I really wanted to share the May kit with you – Hugs from Shelli.

This kit made four different card designs (three each of the four designs) which according to my math equals 12 cards. Hopefully even with the new math they are teaching kids in school these days that total comes to the same number of cards! Since I love these kits so much I always get two each month so I get to make 24 cards – yahoo!

The only thing that I have a problem with from time to time is that the cards may not be A2 size cards (5.50” x 4.25” when closed) which is pretty much the smallest size the USPS wants you to mail. So when this is the case I alter the kits by adding additional card stock as the card base to make the cards BIGGER.

I basically follow the layout design of the kit, I just expand the card’s footprint. This is what I mean:

I cut the fronts off all of the cards and matted them with snail adhesive on coordinating card stock and then with dimensionals on card stock base. I used the other half of the card for the inside of the card for the stamping of the greeting. I used my Stamparatus for all stamping.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used to enhance the Paper Pumpkin kit.

Product List

I just received my June kit. They are tiny cards. I haven’t decided what I will do with these just yet but I will share them with you once I have them completed. I still need to work on the April kit – they are beautiful flower cards. Ugh, where does the time go!?!

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper!

Don’t forget — if you want to receive the July Paper Pumpkin Kit you must subscribe by July 10!

Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Free as a Bird on a Tile

Greetings my stamping friends. I have been bouncing around between various tasks and projects not getting much accomplished. I have been staining crates to create a display unit for my booth at High Street which will look like this:

I finished drilling all the holes and attaching the hardware to keep the crates attached to each other (if you don’t try to move it too much that is). Tomorrow I will make a trip out to Plano and unload and reassemble the crates, rearrange some of my products, add new stuff, including my card racks and hand-made cards (finally)!

One of the projects I was working on during my pinging back and forth between things is what I am sharing with you today. It is proof to you “I’m not that creative” naysayers out there that “yes you can do this”. The project is not a card, it is also not a scrapbook page. Rather I stamped on a 4″ x 4″ tile I bought at my local hardware store for a mere .08 cents (each).

Because the tile surface is glossy (slippery), it is best to use a stamp positioning tool such as the Stamparatus. This way the stamp will not slide on the tile when it is pressed onto the tile. I placed the tile on the base on the Stamparatus in a corner and used my magnets on the other two sides to anchor the tile into place.

My resulting project is a four-piece coaster set! I will box them up into one of the Baker’s Boxes (Item # 147899, $7.00) as a gift.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this project which can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

Product List

Note: The colors I used from the Subtles and Neutrals families of markers are as follows: Balmy Blue, Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Mossy Meadow.

Due to the non-porous nature of the tiles, I used StazOn Black ink for my line image. StazOn is a permanent ink and is intended for use with watercolor techniques and with the Stampin’ Write markers (water-based inks). You cannot use the Stampin’ Blends with StazOn because they are alcohol-based markers and with lift or bleed the StazOn ink.

Since the Stampin’ Write markers are really intended for use on porous materials such as paper, once I colored in my image I sprinkled clear embossing powder over the tile, knocked off as much excess from the non-stamped areas as possible (using the Embossing Buddy around the stamped image, but not over it, before you add the embossing powder will help reduce random powder in unwanted areas). Heat the areas with the stamped image and embossing powder until they become shiny just like they would when heat embossing on paper. Note: This will take much longer than normal. Tile will get hot so I would recommend laying the tile on a flat heat resistant surface rather than holding it in your hands.

If you have any other questions regarding this technique or project, do not hesitate to ask. If you would like to join me for a class to create this project, let me know and I will schedule a date and time that is convenient for you.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper or tile. Until next time, stamp on my friends.
