Purple Posy Ink To Be Discontinued

Greetings my stamping friends. Here is a product update for your information:

Despite Stampin’ Up!’s best efforts to resolve issues with Purple Posy ink, they have learned that the ink color is still shifting over time. This means that the color is coordinating more loosely than typically allowed with their colors. Due to these ongoing challenges, Stampin’ Up! has decided to discontinue Purple Posy classic ink. As of November 5, 2019, the following items will no longer be available to purchase:

  • Purple Posy Classic Stampin’ Pad (item 150084)
  • Purple Posy Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill (item 150091)
  • 2019–2021 In Color Classic Stampin’ Pad Assortment (item 150087)

Stampin’ Up! will be unable to replace Purple Posy ink pads for customers or demonstrators who have already received them. However, anyone with concerns regarding the color shifting properties of their Purple Posy ink pads may contact Demonstrator Support and will be offered a $7.50 usd coupon code as compensation. The coupon codes will expire on January 1, 2020.

The three item numbers listed above may still appear in the 2020–2021 annual catalog, but will not be available to purchase after November 5, 2019. All other Purple Posy products (such as Purple Posy Stampin’ Write Marker, Purple Posy Cardstock, Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends, etc.) will remain available for purchase.

The testing process explained:

All of Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive ink colors are run through a vigorous series of tests to get ahead of challenges like this, and to ensure colors are accurate and meet our standards of coordination. Purple Posy did pass regular testing standards in time-simulating ovens, but we have now identified that it fell short when it came to actual time passing. The color begins to shift once the ink has rested in the ink pad for about six weeks.

It is rare for Stampin’ Up! or our ink manufacturer to have such persistent issues with ink; Purple Posy has certainly been an anomaly. We completed full testing on 11 distinct batches of Purple Posy Classic Stampin’ Ink before releasing the current version. We are now confident that no additional efforts would uphold our coordination needs over time. We appreciate your patience as we have worked through this manufacturing difficulty and regret that we are unable to share better news.

We understand how frustrating incidents like this can be. We continue to be committed to offering color coordination across all our product lines.

If you have any questions not discussed here, do not hesitate to contact me.

Of course you can continue to use your Purple Posy inks. Just keep in mind that over time the color will change.

Thank you for stopping by today. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Holiday Retreat Projects – Post 3 & OnStage Swap Sneak Peek

Greetings my stamping friends! Today I am going to share with you three card projects from Amy Storrie’s Holiday Retreat, Stamped with Joy. Each card is very different in design, but they all have the theme of a wintery Christmas.

I have provided the product thumbnails after each project which contain those marvelous hyperlinks which will allow you to quickly add what you need to your shopping cart.

I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I did making them.

Unfortunately I have not yet purchased any of these stamp set / bundles and my Wish List continues to grow in size!

OnStage Swap Sneak Peek

The much anticipated all demonstrator event – OnStage – is quickly approaching. Since this year’s multi-day event is being held in Messe Dortmund, Dortmund, Germany, one day Local events are being held at select locations in the U.S. and Canada. I am attending the event in Las Vegas, NV which I know will be LOTS of FUN!

I signed up to participate in a group organized swap and the theme for my card could be Birthday, Thank You or Valentines. I opted to do a Thank You card and I used a stamp set / bundle that I have not yet used from the Annual Catalog.

I have to say that I surprised myself with the simplicity of the card using this multi-step stamp set. The leaves and the bottom two flowers are attached flat to the card front, while the third flower (top) was attached using dimensionals.

If you have any questions regarding any measurements or other design elements of these cards, you just need to ask. I provide my projects to you for FREE.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Gather Together with Tidings All Around

Greetings my stamping friends! I have a new project to share with you today using two stamp sets from the Holiday Catalog — Gather Together and Tidings All Around. The Gather Together set is obviously meant to create projects of Thanksgiving. Many of you may think that the Tidings All Around set would just be for creating Christmas projects. However, I think my project will show you how both stamp sets compliment each other in my Fall themed / Thanksgiving card.

I guess I’ll let you be the judge! What do you think?

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card, all of which can be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the thumbnails below:

If you have any questions regarding any of the design elements of this project, do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

A Spooktacular Monster Bash Halloween

Greetings my stamping friends. October is here bringing with it some slightly cooler weather which makes me yearn for all things Fall (although I have to admit I am NOT a big fan of Pumpkin Spice in everything).

Cooler weather means Halloween is just around the corner and I have seen so many houses all decked out in spooky decorations. The imagination of some of my neighbors is truly “Spooktacular”.

Speaking of things “Spooktacular”, have you noticed the adorable stamp sets, dies, punches and product suites available in the new Holiday Catalog?

At our team meeting with Amy Storrie in September, she used the Monster Bash Suite for our projects which of course means I NEED these products now! Here are the projects she designed for us:

Later than same day Amy hosted a “Stampin’ Bingo” event and had a project that used the new curvy box die and she gave us all a gift for attending her event made with the Coffin Treat Boxes:

How many of you NEED these products too?!? They are so darn cute. Bonus project note: the box with the bats tag contains a sweet pastry treat inside – a win win!

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used to make these projects with a thumbnail for each which if clicked will offer you the option to add them to your shopping cart.

Product List

Whew! That is a very long list of supplies. If you have any questions as to which supplies were used for a specific project above, let me know. I attempted to list them in the order of the photos, but I did not duplicate supplies used on multiple projects. Also, if you have any questions about paper sizes, etc., I provide this information to you for FREE. You just need to ask for it!

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. If you have a “Spooktacular” project you have been working on, I would love to see it.

Until next time, stamp on my friends.

New Paper Trimmer by Stampin’ Up!

Papercrafting begins with a beautiful first cut, which means having the right tool for the job is kind of a big deal.  The Research & Development team at Stampin’ Up! has been hard at work designing a new paper trimmer and is now ready to reveal the fruits of their labor. I am excited to introduce to you the new Paper Trimmer by Stampin’ Up!

This highly anticipated new tool is “a cut above the rest”. Here is a photo array from its unveiling photo shoot.

Now THAT is one beautiful Paper Trimmer.

How can you get one of these new beautiful tools for yourself, you ask? Starting today, October 1, a “demonstrator preorder” period begins which means for now this is only available for purchase if you are an active demonstrator. Good news is that if you sign up to become a demonstrator during the preorder period, you can ADD THE PAPER TRIMMER as one of the products in your STARTER KIT! If you have been wanting to join – here is your sign. Simply contact me for information on how you can join the fun and become a demonstrator.

With all good things, there is an end date for this promotion – October 31.

Customer Availability: To ensure we have a sufficient inventory of Paper Trimmers for our customers, we will not announce a customer release date until we are able to gauge the new product’s inventory levels and popularity during the demonstrator preorder period. An update will be provided as soon as we have a customer release date.

I hope you are as excited as I am about this new tool. Here is a short video that reflects just how excited.
