A Beautiful Day with Special Celebrations

Greetings my stamping friends. Another weekend is upon us. I hope you are able to get outside and enjoy some sunshine – of course, while also staying safe and practicing “social distancing”.

My husband and I will be celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary on Sunday, May 10. As you know it is also Mother’s Day on Sunday, so I hope I can work up enough courage to venture out a bit myself.

Today’s project share continues my mission to use all of my retiring stamp sets and other supplies (at least once) before they are set aside for the new and shiny products being offered in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. Today’s card uses two stamp sets that are retiring — Beautiful Day & Special Celebrations. It’s another simple layout / design, aside from the coloring with my Stampin’ Blends. I hope you like it:

I simply stamped the flower image twice and then colored it. I fussy cut the sentiment and popped it up with dimensionals. The Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends are also retiring since the 2018-2020 In Color family they belong to is retiring. This is my favorite red shade we have so it will be missed from my craft arsenal.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the creation of this card with the hyperlinks for ease of shopping:

Beautiful You Around the Corner

Greetings my stamping friends. I hope you have been enjoying my project shares featuring the soon to retire stamp sets and other products. I also hope that you all remain healthy and safe, whether you are continuing to shelter in place or have ventured out and attempting business as usual.

Today’s project share uses two retiring stamp sets — Beautiful You and Around the Corner. Beautiful You is one of my favorite stamps sets in my stash and I am sad to see it retire. But I expect that I will hold onto it for many more years for personal use. Here is today’s card which was inspired by a card by Nancy Juliano on Pinterest:

I just love the woman’s silhouette stamps in this stamp set. She is very versatile and has even appeared as a graduate on a few cards I made last year. If you want her to have a flowery dress, simply stamp her a second time on your favorite designer series paper and fussy cut her dress out with paper snips and adhere the dress on top of the original stamped image. I have even seen others make cards with her doing cartwheels down the beach!

I wanted her to sparkle, so I colored her hat and dress with Wink of Stella after I colored with Stampin’ Blends. I also added Wink of Stella to the corner swirls which I stamped using my Stamparatus. I just love her! Don’t you?

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card along with the hyperlinks for ease of shopping (just a few clicks on the thumbnails will add these items to your shopping cart):

Welcome Little One with Animal Outing

Greetings my stamping friends. I hope you are all doing well and spending at least a little bit of your time being crafty with stamps, inks and paper.

Today’s project share uses one of the upcoming retiring stamp sets — Animal Outing. I think I got this stamp set as part of one of my OnStage kits or as a Prize Patrol item. This is another set that I don’t think I have used until now. There are a coordinating set of dies (or where) to make the cutting out of these images quick and easy, but I don’t have those in my stockpile. The embossing folder I used is also retiring — Tufted.

I needed a baby girl card to send to an almost family member who just had a new baby in April. So this card will be going out in the mail to someone in particular. Here is what it looks like (inspired by a card on Pinterest by Ann Schach):

I have to confess that the punch that I used to make the banners (Duet Banner Punch) was retired a year or so ago, but it met my needs for this project so I used it.

I adhered the 4.00″ x 5.25″ piece of DSP to a piece of whisper white cardstock before running it through the embossing folder to give it more substance since I wanted to pop it up with dimensionals.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card:

An Accented Blooms Thank You

Greeting my stamping friends. I hope you are all doing well and continue to practice safe social distancing, wear your face masks when you go out, etc. as parts of Texas and other states begin reopening. As for me, I will continue to shelter in place as much as I can, venturing out only for essential things, i.e. my upcoming infusion this week (I can’t believe it has been three weeks already).

With the end of the sales period for the 2020 Jan-Jun Mini Catalog and the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, my project shares will focus primarily on retiring products that you will find on the Last Chance Lists, while supplies last or through June 2, 2020.

Today’s project share features the Accented Blooms stamp set which I have had for a very long time but never actually used until now. How many of you have stamp sets that you haven’t used yet? I have so many it is a bit embarrassing. Here is today’s card:

This was a very simple and quick card to create. I colored all of the floral images using my collection of Stampin’ Blends. I added a mat layer to my stamped piece to tie in the punched sentiment.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of this card with the hyperlinks that allow you to quickly add these items to your shopping cart:

Last Chance Products

Greetings my stamping friends. If you have tried to read the PDF lists of the Last Chance Products from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog and the 2020 Jan-Jun Mini Catalog, then you may have noticed that the information is near microscopic in size.

I wanted to review my list of stamp sets to see how many I have in my stash of supplies that will be retiring. Stampin’ Up! also provides the retired lists in Excel format and I downloaded them and reformatted them so that they were easier for me to use. (I deleted references to stamp sets, etc. that were in French (FR), and then did a custom sort of the list first by Category (Bundle, Tools, etc.) and then by Name/Description so that I would have a list in alpha order which is how I keep my stamp sets.) I was sad to see that I have 31 stamp sets retiring, and I have not even started on the other category of products.

I thought that my resorted/reformatted lists might be helpful to you as well, so I am sharing them here with you.

If you have any difficulty downloading the Excel documents, please let me know. They are both formatted to print landscape on 8.5″x11″ paper and I have preset the “print areas” so no extra blank pages should print. You may need to rescale your print from 100% down to 60-65% to get all columns on one page.

Thank you for stopping by today. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Share Sunshine Digital Download – COVID-19 Giveback

Greeting my stamping friends. My preparation for this next project share took a bit longer than I had anticipated, but I hope you feel it was worth the wait.

Today’s project share (12 cards!) uses the same card layout with the die cut digital images from Stampin’ Up!’s digital download — Share Sunshine. I wasn’t sure which of the images I wanted to use so I undertook the task of cutting them all out first. Here are my cards:

Inside: Miss You. Hoping that by staying home more things change than my pajamas
Inside: Everything will be okay. We just can’t see what okay looks like from here.
Inside: There’s nobody I’d rather stay home for
Inside: It’s like a normal martini but you drink it a home, alone.
Inside: Hope you’re staying entertained during this time of social distancing.
Inside: Just breathe (but wear your mask)
Inside: I can’t wait to hug you when this is all over
Inside: I’m here for you … from a distance
Inside: I can’t wait to hug you when this is all over
Inside: Hang in there
Inside: Sending Love … (and if I could, toilet paper)
Inside: Sending love and support

I still have a zip lock bag full of die cut images; likely enough to make at least 50 more cards. I used various die sets, punches and my paper trimmer to cut out each image which were printed on Whisper White cardstock.

For the card design itself, I cut 12×12 DSP down to 6×6; then to 3×6; and finally to 3×2. I was able to make eight cards with one sheet of DSP.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that I used in the design of these cards with the hyperlinks to add them to your shopping cart with just a click or two:

Product List

Here is the link to purchase the Share Sunshine digital images in PDF format. Cost per download is $12.00 (US) and will need to be ordered separately from your typical online order. Buy it here!

Floral Essence Virtual Party Projects

Greetings my stamping friends. I took a short break for a couple of days to decompress from this week’s events. I had a long awaited hearing on Wednesday which I believe was a success — it was two years in the making and once I have the final news I may just share it with you. For now, I apologize for my brief absence.

Today’s project share are the projects from Wednesday’s Virtual Party hosted by Stampin’ Up!. If you were able to join the watch party, then you should recognize these projects. First, I will show you the projects as designed and created by the host, Tanner, followed then by my recreation of these projects.

My comments as to difference between my versions and Tanner’s versions: Although Tanner indicated he used Crumb Cake ink for the circles on the Crumb Cake cardstock pieces, his photos seen to indicate he used Early Espresso. Also, his photos show a darker green so I believe he may have used Mossy Meadow rather than Old Olive ink. If you want your colors to be darker like on Tanner’s card, then I would swap out those two ink colors. Also, I had scraps of whisper white cardstock that I thought “looked to be the right size” for projects 2 and 3; I should have actually measured them and cut them down a bit because obviously my pieces are larger than the dimensions Tanner provided.

So that you have hyperlinks for each Stampin’ Up! product used in the design of these cards, here are the supplies you will need:

Product List

If you have any questions regarding any of the design elements of these projects, please just ask.

In case you missed my post on my Facebook Business Page, if you place an online order between now and end of day, Monday, May 4, 2020 AND use HOST CODE BMJTY9CV, you will receive from me some handmade cards featuring the COVID-19 Giveback digital images AND a free embellishment of my choice. These items will be mailed directly from my home to yours, separately from your Stampin’ Up! online order, as a token of my appreciation. Don’t miss out on this chance for FREE stuff!

My Wonderful Family by Paper Pumpkin

Greetings my stamping friends. I am getting a very early start on today’s project share since I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow and really need to get to bed at a decent hour tonight. I hope you are all still happy and healthy!

Today’s project share is brought to you by Paper Pumpkin. I received my April 2020 kit — My Wonderful Family — last week and sat down this afternoon to work on it. I followed the design directions on one of the two designs, for reasons I will explain below. Here are my cards (this month’s kit made eight standard sized cards, four each of two designs):

For the second card, I loved the verse that was printed on the card front layer so much that I did not want to cover it up with the green leaves die cut. I also wanted the Pear Pizzazz script to pop more. So, my alternatives were 1) mat the printed card front in Pear Pizzazz cardstock; and 2) adhere the leaves die cut on the right edge of the card so that they peek out from the card front and are fully revealed when you open the card. I have more than a dozen tag die cuts left over that I can use on other projects along with the amazing stamp set that was included in this month’s kit.

Here is the instructional video from Paper Pumpkin on the assembly of this kit to give you an idea of what was included and step by step directions on assembly:

As I advised in my post yesterday, the May 2020 kit has already SOLD OUT. If you are not already a Paper Pumpkin subscriber and want to be sure to receive the next available kit in June 2020, be sure to subscribe now. You can subscribe at my personal link HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Peaceful Moments on Lilypad Lake

Greetings my stamping friends. I hope you are all doing well and making the best of this strange situation we all finds ourselves in these days.

Today’s project share features a stamp set and coordinating set of dies — Lilypad Lake stamp set and Lakeside Dies — that are retiring on June 2, 2020 — and are available until that day or while supplies last. This card was a bit of a struggle for me. I’m not sure I ever had a clear picture in my head as to what I was going to create. This kind of just happened. This was actually the first time I used these two products together to create a project. Better late than never, right!? Here is what I ended up with:

The sentiments in the Lilypad Lake stamp set were not what I wanted for this card, so I pulled out the Peaceful Moments stamp set from the Mini Catalog, which will be carrying over to the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. This is a “gate fold” card similar to one that I posted a few weeks ago. Simply score an 8.50″ x 5.50″ piece of cardstock at 2-1/8″ from both ends to get your “gates”. Final card measurements when folded on score lines will be 4.25″ x 5.50″.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! supplies that I used in the design of this card with the hyperlinks that will allow you to add them to your shopping cart with just a couple of clicks:
