Love Notes for Valentine’s Days

Greetings my stamping friends. Remember when you were in Elementary school and it was Valentine’s Day and you couldn’t wait to see if that certain someone you had a crush on would drop a Valentine’s card into your collection box? Do they even still do this in school today?

I was filled with nostalgia the last few days when I was rummaging through my newer Stampin’ Up! products to see what I could create and share with you and stumbled across my unopened package of Love Notes 6×6 Mix & Match Designer Series Paper.

There are two designs (two sheets each) of 3″ x 3″ images that make perfect “love notes.” I will show you what I mean below.

First here are the two sheets of designs (front and back):

And here are my “love notes”:

First, I cut out the panels from the Designer Series Paper (all cuts will be at the 3″ mark). I then used the largest square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies and die cut each panel from the Designer Series Paper (finished pieces will then measure 2.75″ x 2.75″).

To create the 3″ x 3″ notecards, I used Basic White 12″ x 12″ cardstock. (One piece of 12″ x 12″ cardstock will make eight (8) notecards.) I cut the cardstock to 6″ x 12″, then scored with the 6″ side at the top at 3″. Then turn the cardstock in your paper cutter and cut at the 3″ mark so that you have four (4) 3″ x 6″ pieces. Fold at the score mark and you have your 3″ x 3″ notecard.

If you elect to make notecards/love notes for all of the images on both pieces of Designer Series Paper, you will need eight (8) pieces of 12″ x 12″ cardstock.

As for the envelopes I have used, these are retired and no longer available from Stampin’ Up! You should be able to find something comparable at a big box store or online.

If you have any questions regarding the design of this project, need help placing an Online order or anything else related to Stampin’ Up! in general, please contact me.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Linda
