Greetings my stamping friends. I have been working on today’s share of the Calm & Bright Kit for more than three days and I finally finished today. Thank goodness! I don’t know if my old age is finally slowing me down or if the multitude of pieces in this kit made it very time consuming. Either way, this kit takes a bit of time and commitment to complete, but I truly believe the finished cards are well worth the effort.
One thing to note. If you received a kit from the first release of this kit, your instructions will show that it comes with a Gray Granite ink spot and the artwork also reflects this color. Actually the kit includes a Lost Lagoon ink spot. On some of my cards, I used both colors or just the Gray Granite as I preferred the understated tone. You should never feel like you must follow the instructions to the letter. There is always room for creative expression.
Here are my completed cards:

The Calm & Bright Kit includes enough supplies to make nine cards, three each of three designs:

And as with almost every kit by Stampin’ Up!, it includes both a clear acrylic block (shown above) and stamp set as detailed below:

Unfortunately, due to its popularity, this kit keeps going into “currently unavailable” status. You can request to be notified by email through the Online Store when the kit is back in stock.
For a quick peek at assembling this kit, here is the how to video:
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.
Linda
