Greetings my stamping friends! I wanted to share a quick card with you that I made for my Mom for Mother’s Day.
If you follow my blog posts, then you likely have read posts promoting the monthly card kit from Stampin’ Up! called Paper Pumpkin. I love this monthly kit because it includes all of the supplies I need to make each month’s projects, and the projects are predesigned so I don’t have to “think” too much when I am creating with them.
Since I needed a Mother’s Day card and I’m not completely organized in my crafting space (but great progress was made on Friday!), I checked my most recent kits for a project that I could use for this purpose. I was awed by the February 2021 kit – Bouquet of Hope – and while it is meant more as sympathy or pick me up messaging, I thought I could make it work for my needs.
Tada! On the inside of the card I stamped the large bouquet of flowers in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored in the image with a variety of colors from my collection of my Stampin’ Blends (hands down one of the best alcohol marker sets on the market!). I will also write a personal message inside the card just for my Mom.
The outside design of this card is all die cuts that are included in the kit. This particular kit supplied enough materials to create 9 cards (3 each of 3 designs). A month to month subscription for the Paper Pumpkin kit is $22.00/month plus taxes (US) (shipping is included). I’m not sure how much cards cost in retail stores (since I have made all of my cards since 2009), but surely they are more than $22.00 for 9 cards! A bargain at twice the price, right!?
