It Starts with Art & Broadway Lights

Greetings my stamping friends. I hope you are all doing well and are safe and healthy.

Today’s events were a bit chaotic, but technology during the “pandemic age” is something you either love or hate. We had our first day of OnTour Online today and technology was not cooperating with those who needed to make presentations. I enjoyed it anyways!

Today’s project share continues my mission of using retiring stamp sets and other products. I mixed products from different product suites — which just goes to prove Stampin’ Up!’s products coordinate very well with each other. My card uses the It Starts With Art stamp set and coordinating designer series paper and elements kit, with the Broadway Lights dies which actually cut out images from the Broadway Birthday stamp set. I was quite pleased with how today’s card turned out. Let me know what you think:

First, my apologies for the cat hair in the photos. I had a hard time uploading these photos to WordPress, otherwise I would retake photos and replace them. My pets don’t stamp with me, but they do seem to become part of my art now and then!

I started with a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock as my card base. I stamped randomly, in the same color ink, two of the images from the stamp set. For the ribbon spools that form a heart when unspooled, I colored the ribbon with Wink of Stella to add some shimmer. I used the marquee sign die from the die set to cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock and a piece of the DSP. I adhered the Whisper White frame of the sign to the matching piece of DSP to make it more sturdy and stamped my sentiment in Pacific Point ink, and then the buttons randomly in Blushing Bride ink of the piece of Whisper White marquee center piece. The rhinestones were placed over the holes that are cut into the sign frame and are the largest size offered in the package. Both pieces are attached to the card front with dimensionals. The arrows and the baker’s twine are from the coordinating elements kit.

Here are the Stampin’ Up! products that were used in the design of the card with the hyperlinks to make adding them to your shopping cart quick and easy:

If you have any questions regarding any of the design elements of this card, please ask.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you leave here inspired to put stamps to ink to paper. Until next time, stamp on my friends.

Linda
